But can we just take a minute and appreciate that Jon Bon Jovi is much better than today's singers? He's kind, generous, quiet, and most of all, good looking! we need more singers like him, tbh

There are a lot of comments about his wife being ordinary. I think she is indeed. She is not the typical rock star wife, hot and sexy like Heather Locklear was to Sambora. She has nothing special and that’s what puzzles the fans who find him sooo hot in comparison. How come he could remain faithful to such an ordinary girl? She must have a great personality and be a good person, I imagine.

If you look at her pics when they were young, she's very pretty and made up. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as well as within. He's very in love with her, dedicated and loyal.While he traveled with his band all these years, she stayed home raising their 4 children. She, I believe, is a Blackbelt in Karate, 3rd in the nation and has her/did own studio.They have built homes for military and unfortunate and opened 4/5 food kitchens that also feed hungry. (JBJ Soul Kitchens) With all this, she doesn't get glammed up, but she does for special events. I praise Jon. He sees her beauty the way she is. What would some "beauties" do without their botox/fillers, false eyelashes, tons of makeup, plastic surgery, breast work and hair extensions or wigs?!!. Dorothea and Jon have a good marriage and are giving people and don't take his money for granted. Seems too as though their children are on the right path with good educations. I'm sure times were not easy for her or Jon being away as he became a legendary rock star. People criticize his voice now but after all the years of performing and being 60 or close to it, what does one expect. He still wants to entertain his fans.
You should listen to him talking about his wife, before she even was his girlfriend. He says, she was a rebel and most sought after girl in high school. And Jon was an ordinary kid with no female following. But when he stole her from her Boyfriend who was his friend, he said for him there was no looking back. From then on she was his. As opposed to him, Dorothea says she saw that he had potential right from the beginning. See he chose her, but what was important was that she allowed him to choose her. That tells you that she was beyond ordinary in his eyes. So it does not matter when women fans think that she is ordinary looking. Its what he thinks and beholds her as, that matters. And in fact if you observe their body language as a couple. Dorothea likes her independence, and Jon is always looking out for her if he looses her in the crowd. When they got down from their vehicle at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Dorothea did not wait for him as she knew the fans wanted to see him alone with his bandmates, but he did not wait, he sprinted after his wife and promptly caught her hand from behind and kept her by his side till they reached inside on the red carpet. And he has done this umpteen number of times over the years. I feel she has been very secure in her standing in their life. While he does not come across that much especially in the early days of their marriage. He appears to be a shy guy who is just trying to keep the beauty of his marriage from showing up on his face, while giving those probing interviews. He wants to keep it to himself without annoying his female fans. So comparing Dorothea to Heather Locklear is not fair on either of the two women.
he wasn't exactly known for it.....but he said himself that he was no saint.......but she left him and he must have realized what he lost. I think that he wouldn't risk what he has now for cheap affairs
Yes in one of his interviews he did say that he was not the kind of rockstar who would have a wife at home and girlfriend on the run with kids in some obscure town. He had four kids and an amazing wife, and there was no reason to mess with that.
Dont get me wrong, I love Jon´s voice and his way of singing but what´s up with his way of talking? Is it some New Jersey accent? I hardly understand 50% of words he says :( and I would love to understand.... I am not native english-speaker but I dont have any problem to understand what Ellen says. Anyone has similar problem or is it just me?
I see that in your profile is "USA" as your country. Maybe that´s it. If you live/d there for some time you got used to American pronunciation. I learnt only English (or British) English not American one. I should have realized that before commenting. sorry
@Nymphyify I actually find that kinda sick. I get that a 60 year old man enjoys to have a pretty young girl next to him,but how can that girl get in bed with that man or even kiss him ? That's the part I don't get. As far as Jon,I doubt that he would ever do that,I just think he's not that kind of person. I don't know,maybe I'm wrong but I just don't have that kind of impression. :)

He did not break up with her after their marriage. She broke up with him while they were dating. She told him that she was not cut out for a long distance relationship. As for the episode where he was going through depression, was sometime in the early 90's when Dorothea was back in NJ and he was touring. And he said that he was missing her like hell. This was before Stephanie was born. And he said that he was drunk as hell, and in that mental chaos of being away from his wife that he penned the song "Bed of Roses"
Isn't it pathetic when a 13 year old girls think, even for a moment,that could have a chance with 49-year old MARRIED man? I am teenager to and Jon is more than hot , but I did not for one moment thought that I would ever have a chance with him. You live in a fantasy world, kids! :)
which one is jon? and whats the matter with that woman in a sick bed? she should be in a hospital, too dedicated to her job to call in sick i guess. maybe somebody in the audience could help her and giver her some aspirin and make her fell better. maybe she does not get paid sick leave wherever she works and she had to come to work. too many peeple have to go to work nodays to pay for the house they might lose it the house if they stay home sick because they cant pay if the don't get paid
