Haha I love how Liz had to take out all these serious moments where Jon just looks straight into the camera and starts giving facts about everything. The flow of humor just ended and gets really serious but interesting haha
SomarMan lol I don't know much about this Liz chick but I'm a Jon fan all the way. :D I memorized all of his songs except for After Ever After 2, which I'm in progress of memorizing :)
Just a quick point of reference... song "I wanna be like you" was misconstrued as being a racist song, it was sung by Louie Prima (an Italian American, known as the king of Swing). Disney originally thought about casting Louis Armstrong for the role, but they feared that it would be considered racist, so that didn't happen. However... a side bit of Disney trivia... ask almost any kid to sing the song "Zippidy Doo Dah" and they will know the song... ask them what movie it is from, and I will guarantee that 99% of them can't tell you, and that is because "Song of the South" has been banned for sale in the US because it was deemed to be too controversial because it takes place on a plantation... so instead of keeping it in the Disney line up and saying "yes this is how life really was during this era" they would prefer to keep the song and pretend the movie didn't exist. I really like the videos!
At 3:28, when you guys were talking about fathoms? It was a unit of measurement (not the most accurate method of measuring, but) sailors would stretch their arms out as they pulled in the anchor attached to the rope, measuring the depth. A fathom is 6 feet. Google "Use fathom in a sentence" and they don't even use any nautical terms as examples, the sentences all were along the lines of "... as we tried to fathom what was occurring" or "She couldn't fathom the amount of pain she had caused... ". So, if one is able to fathom an idea or concept, imagine wrapping one's arms around something and saying, "yeah, I got it!" If a man is 6 feet tall, his reach from one hand to another is 6 feet (think of DaVinci's drawing of a man with his arms outstretched in a circle, explaining the human body's symmetry). Gees, I didn't mean to ramble so long, but I recognized and was familiar with the word "fathom" (which is why I laughed so hard at a friend of mine when she said "I just can't phantom the concept of... " she thought since it was an idea that escaped her, she couldn't see or understand, it was like a ghost. In reality? It was just that she was stupid).
SoundProofLiz paintchips ***** why would that song be racist? So what if a black singer voices a monkey? WHY IS THAT RACIST??? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS WORLD??? ...honestly though sometimes I just walk up to someone and I'm like, "Hi," and they're like, "RACIST!!!!!!!!!!"
I am not afraid of Anastasia because is one of my favourites but I do remember being really scared the first time I saw it, in the specific scene when the bad guy dies, it was so horrible XD
Steven Schwarts, i think thats how you spell his name... also wrote the music for the play "Captain Louie Jr." and it is so beautiful, was actually in that play!
It basically means that he cares about his appearance, almost to a girly extent. So, he acts and looks like a stereotype gay guy, even though he's straight.
Wow I can't decide which of you I would rather make a RU-vid video. Jon makes his own awkwardness unawkward, which is a skill I really need lol. And of course you, Liz ARE AMAZING IN EVERY WAY DUHHH...
