Totally agree! It was a horrible ending for her, with a rushed together contrived plot to make her out to suddenly be "insane" when everything throughout the seasons pointed otherwise.

Daenerys sacrificed her dragon to save him, brought her army’s to fight by his side, lost friends because of him. Yet at the end of the day when she needed the most help he stabbed her in the heart. Long live the mother of dragons!

What I don't understand is why the Dothraki and Unsullied didn't kill Tyrion and Jon on the spot. The writing was atrocious! She was going 2 let the Iron Islands 2 be independent but not the North?!
That's what baffled me. The Dothraki and Unsullied WORSHIPPED her. Not just blind followers like the Lannister crew; they truly saw her as a deity. But sure...they just went on their merry way once John-come-lately stabbed her in the heart.
Just terrible writing, it's like they didn't care about the show anymore or the characters...they did a rotten and rushed season, and wiped their hands of it and walked away.

They obey to dany because she shows them her strength, tyrion, jon, and everyone else didn't do anything to deserve their respect, and unsullied are free thanks to dany, so i think that they have the power, the opportunity and the right to kill the ones Who are responsible for their queen's murder.. It's not logical that they let them go like this without a Word. They were like "oh, she's dead... Oh.. Ok.. So Jon go to the wall and.. Everyone let's go home !" 😂 that's so strange !
He didn’t even give her a chance, didn’t even try to change her mind, she said we’ll do it together, somewhere somehow along the way he could’ve saved her, he didn’t even comfort her when she lost her dragon, her best friends, her loyal advisors, he just left her to deal with pain by herself, rejected her when she loved him, he forgot she lost everything fighting for him, after he was done with her he simply killed her...
He _did_ try pleading with Dany at the end, that was Jon giving her a chance. She wasn't convinced. He can't just wait until she burns more cities -- she already burned one and thought it was right, wasn't receptive to his pleas for mercy. She thought mercy was now a weapon to be used against her, she believed waging war on the world was necessary, and didn't view her actions in King's Landing as wrong. Jon didn't just "simply kill" Dany when he was done with her. Jon didn't even want to kill Dany after she burned down a surrendered city, fighting against the idea when Tyrion was urging him to kill her. And Jon didn't even feel it was right to kill her after he did do it, when he saw that Dany was resolved to continuing her destruction. All the way up until just before the end, Jon refused to betray her. He refuses to betray Dany when Varys implores him to, he defends her to his sisters, he swears his sisters to secrecy over his parentage. After Dany burns King's Landing, Jon tries to rationalize her actions to Tyrion. He marched the Northern forces to King's Landing to help Dany take _her_ throne. He abdicated his claim in favour of hers. Jon did fail Dany on Dragonstone and I expect that was because of his own crisis. I think Jon and Dany failed each other when it came to comfort in their individual crisis. Jon was also struggling with the revelation that his whole life had been a lie and that he was related to Dany. Dany didn't really do much to help Jon here because of her overriding fear that people pit Jon's claim against hers. Dany didn't lose everything fighting for him. Dany lost Rhaegal because Dany wanted to march on Cersei immediately and fighting the Night King was in Dany's interest too unless Dany wanted to become Queen of the Zombies. Dany is responsible for her own choices, just like Jon is. She is a queen and leader in her own right. She can't take out her pain and devastation on a city.
@@analise8031 So much truth here. I felt bad for both of them really. They were both struggling with a lot of revelations that kinda upended everything. So much could have been avoided with some serious time after the battle of Winterfell just discussing everything. Like shit, with enough time maybe they would of come to the point where, "Hey you keep saying you love me and I'm your queen. We didn't grow up together. Marry me and we can combine our darn birthrights. They both got weigh-laid by the people around them just noping out of supporting either of them an instead just turning them against each other. They got done dirty by bad writing, plot armor on all the Starks if you ask me and dropped plot threads like that one where making alliances through marriage was supposed to happen.
He loved her u til the very end but was kinda grossed out by the incest thing which is why he was less affectionate after he found out. In the end he killed her bc she became a tyrant, even tho he loved her

@@pengu_jm You can't say "that 's Disney final that's not reality" when sansa became a queen, Arya goes on travel, and Bran became a fucking King, right ? 😂 Starks ARE à Disney final, so Dany and Jon married with a Child could have been a logical end as well. (far more logical to me in fact)

I have seen many-many fan made videos, but this one moved me the most. For me the show wasn't able to show their love, affection and struggles...this video definitely did the job. Thank you for the experience. I will never forget this :)
I still don't understand this. Why he refused her if he loves her so much...? Why jon kills dany? It has no sens... 2 minutes before he defends her with tyrion...and than.. She says that she wants to rule with him so there is no problem..if he remained with her, she will not make other mistake... I hate this end! They deserved better.

@@jaquelineluciano4680 Well, Jon was wanting to give Dany another chance, he was pleading with her to be merciful rather than continuing to burn cities and was willing to forgive King's Landing if she just agreed to stop. I don't see Jon doing that for anyone who he didn't love, especially considering what Dany did... Dany wasn't receptive though. He can't just step aside and let her burn cities. Dany really believed what she was doing was right and necessary. It seems even love for Jon was not going to dissuade her... :(
I didn't see John's love for her. Dany really loved him, with all her heart, very much. She confessed her love to him, smiled for him and pretended to be happy, even when she was very ill and in pain, she was ready to forgive him anything. He rejected her twice, but she still asked him to be with her, wanted to kiss him, let him do it, after all the humiliation. He's the only one who could break it.
You've got me tearing up at this, what a gorgeous tribute to Jonerys - they are my King and Queen now and always. But bloody hell Jon why did you reject my girl Daenerys when you said she'd be a good queen? Dracarys to that. I'd be paralyzed by grief like Daenerys over losing him just after falling head over heels for him and he'd fallen for me too - I wouldn't care if he was my nephew - valar morghulis and double dracarys to anyone but Jon in saying otherwise and triple dracarys to how Emilia Clarke's character was ruined at the end of the show. I'd just want Jon Snow back in my arms - who wouldn't want to kiss Kit Harington? You know nothing showrunners. Love this edit - long live Jonerys.
So much people saying she deserved better but that whole Targaryen madness really works for the drama of the show, they just could have developed that transition with a full 10 episodes season
Daenerys Targaryen didn't become the mad queen and didn't burn Kings Landing. On episode 8.5, after the bells rang, she disappeared for the remaining 30 minutes. We only see a flying dragon, sometimes not him at all, unleashing fire everywhere. Daenerys always commanded her dragon during battles, even in previous episodes and seasons. So it was just D & D and their stupidity, who show us a devastated city, in order to manipulate the audience on hating her, and justify her murder on the next episode. When I watched for the first time during quarantine the whole series, never been a fan of the show never watched before, I was in shock for some days after the ending (I finished 73 episodes in two weeks, I had plenty of time). Then I decided to watch it again. For weeks, I hated Jon Snow for what he did, but last days I feel sorry for him, even pity, because some damn foolish writing demolish 8 years good stories. For sure, I'm still depressed of how beloved Daenerys ended, and for sure deserved better.
She killed innocents. She was good but had dark side too and became power hungry even though he defended her and pleaded to stop. She became ruthless in her pain. So killing her made sense but the story was hurried.

Stop saying it shouldn't have ended this way! Yes, it was definitly rushed and they would do it better with help of GRRM,but this is the ending Martin intended it to end. Dany was my favorite character, and it truly hurt to see her die,but it had to be done. It is called A Song Of Ice And Fire for a reason. It had to be tragic. It had to hurt. It had to leave emptiness in our hearts. A perfect Westerosi-utopia ending isn't what Martin intended. He wanted to create a love story,so tragic ,that it could surpass Romeo and Juliet,and if you're asking me,it did. With all those amaizing prophecies and foreshadowings of a tragic ending, this is the only right way. I would just like for us to focus on ending in the books,when they are out,because they will definitely have more detail and be even more tragic. Theirs is the Song of Ice and Fire....

Dany is the only character in GOT that I so strong willed..But at the end did not succeed..Khal Drogo was perfect for her..Jon just uses woman to come to a higher position..
He never used her to get to a higher position, his position actually got weaker as he was the King of the North until they fell in love and Jon became the warden of the north. Plus I would argue many characters have stronger wills such as Jon who had to accept that his love became a tyrant and then had to kill her and when he was resurrected he could just but no he decided to stay and fight to take back Winterfell and lost his brother because of it and upon that went to hardhome which would mean people would hate him just to do the right thing.

I'm a new fan, and I know how it ends even before watching the whole show, so there's not too much surprises there, yet I still think the ending is trash, it's worse than trash. Both of them are so beautiful inside out, and they lost, hurt and sacrificed so much their whole live. Still she became the bad guy and he became a nobody. They deserve better ending. Arrrhhhggg I'm so frustrated!!

That's not what Dany meant. She pointed out that even if Jon refused the throne, it wouldn't matter what he wants -- people would still try to push him into these positions. Which is what happened.

I would have loved her to pull out the knife and hand it back to Jon, unhurt. "Now that I know I can't trust the one I love". Get on her dragon..."I will raise our child alone". And flys away.
It is very bizarre that anyone bought into Jon and Daenerys as a love story, not the way it was presented in HBO. Even the actors had zero chemistry with each other.
