This song feels like a tense knot unwinding and releasing. Somehow, an honest prayer like this makes me feel that Jesus is even closer, and responding with a loving, “Yes. I am here.”

I am 30 years old now, and Jon Foreman has helped carry me spiritually since I was just 10 . Unbelievable talent and yearning for God.

I really, really needed this right now. Everything that is going on right now. It’s hard to be a Christian, an American, etc.-heck, it’s hard to be a person! It’s a struggle dealing with all the crazy happenings in the past year and I ask God all the time “what on earth am I supposed to do with all this pain and anxiety?” And I haven’t really gotten a clear answer back yet. I think the first place to begin is to not run from the doubts, but to give them to Jesus. We’ll figure out what to do with them at a later time. But right now in this moment, it’s about letting go...

Doubts will always come, they won't stop coming to our minds but last year I really and finally learned that Jesus is really with me, there is no one else who cares about me like he does, nobody loves me like he does, I learned that he is my father and that I am his child even when I think I am not, even when I fail even when I doubt, when I am tired of believing, he is there and he knows better, he would never leave, how could a loving and caring father leave his child alone, or stop caring about his child, we never would, so he less, believe it, he's there, he loves you, he cares, he hears you, he understands you more than anyone would, he knows that feeling, he's with you even when you feel unworthy and he would never blame you for feeling that way. God loves you 💖

Acceptance. Acceptance in full surrender to everything that’s happening and rest in doubts and uncertainty. It’s ok to not be ok because God is in control. No matter what happens, God wins and therefore we all win.

Love this song!! The first time I heard It, I fell for the raw emotion here. I have been a Believer most of my life, but became a true follower 24 years ago. This song touched me! I really like how it can talk to us no matter where we are in life. Whether we are “Believers” or on the fence, or it’s non-existent; Jesus will meet us right where we are at. This is a masterpiece. A song of lament and struggle. Of honesty and pain. We live in a noisy world. A world in which it seems like the wicked prevail and the righteous are downtrodden. Where everything we know to be right feels as though it is wrong. It's ok to have doubts. It's ok to just be hanging on by your fingernails. Just know that Jesus can meet you in, even in the silence of your doubts.

I was at this exact point in my faith a few years ago. I know exactly how this prayer goes. My faith didn't survive the doubts and I let go of a lot of my beliefs. It still hurts sometimes when I reflect on those times. Keep searching Jon and find the truth.

I have uttered similar prayers in troubling times and Jesus meets me in my sorrow.

This is relatable with the results of America and the election. I need Jesus to help me with my doubts not just in the country, but also in my personal life.

If you haven't already, please ask Jesus to come into your life. His mercy knows no bounds. He will not refuse you if you call upon him. This for me, is heart knowledge and though head knowledge is important, enlightenment comes when we open our hearts to Christ and ask God to forgive and save us and save us in Jesus name.

I know where this came from. Honest prayer in the midst of this horrible COVID that keeps dragging on & keeping us from the life we know. We wonder about the reasons everyday but so much good has come out of it too. Much Love & keep writing. We need more.

Man, this is a powerfully honest song. If anything, this past year has taught me that it’s okay to struggle with various doubts. Faith is often stronger & deeper b/c of the struggle.
