I am very sorry sorry for your loss. I also lost my mom to cancer and I was just sitting here thinking about how much I miss her and all the things she did with us when we was kids and I just starting balling.
@@natiplano1269 He was a prominent streamer who introduced a very large amount of people to Daniel's Jojk (which is why there are RIP Reckful comments on this video). For a long time, he would broadcast this music to his followers daily. He loved the song, and as a depressed person, it spoke to his soul and healed him in some way. He was a good man, gone far too soon.
My friend died exactly a year ago, I found this jojk and i cried my fvckin' ass out.. it feels like every emotion you don't understand is sang in this music.
I found the version with English subtitles of another Sami song... I do not know how much it is correct, but among the translations I have watched, this seems the most accurate one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HyRan7oUUQ0.html
Respect from Singapore. I earnestly believe that songs like this possess immense power; to the extent of putting an end to all the inhumane atrocities in our world today. How can one not be moved by such a beautiful tune? Think of all the killings and hatred in the Middle East. Imagine if ISIS in Syria had the chance to hear this, or rebels in Libya, or even Al-Qaeda in Yemen. What about conflicts between Russia and Ukraine rebels? Would they remain ever hardened after hearing so? Songs like this give you a sense of gratitude. To be thankful to be able to experience the wonderful world, that we humans collectively behold. The beauty of life on its own - waking up to a glorious sunset and coming back to the magnificent night sky. Thankful for the wonderful people around your life. And thankful to have the sensory capacity to savor the beauty of this song. Thank you Jon for sharing this marvel of a tune to the world.
oh my God, this made me cry... :'( the song itself moved me to tears which i tried to hide, but then reading your comment, which had put all the reasons for this melancholy feeling into words... the things you mentioned about the wars and conflict in the world...when all the time, there is just pure and simple beauty in our world, this song for one ... yet everything is made complicated by man's greed :'(
wow, i dont understand any of this, i know it was for his best friend who died. The words are foreign to me, yet as a full grown man i shed a tear with this beautiful, powerful piece. thank you jon.
That's because there are no lyrics in this song. It's just the sounds he was feeling and does feel about his friends passing, it's a universal song to which everyone understands on a musical/emotional level, no-one understands the words because there are none.
Jon Henrik Fjällgren - Daniels Joik Do you go with me still, my dear friend, Although I no longer see you? Are you still here on earth, Just as you remain in my heart? I lie there and ponder, Its a deafly soundless around me. The tears break through and falls, In the memories of you. An angel that was left behind, Have now got its wings. Where do you fly now, my angel? Where do you fly now? Are you flying through the pearly gates, tell me? Or to the worlds end? Are you flying beside me? Or am I alone now? Where ever you are my friend. Where ever the path takes you. Promise me you'll wait there, Until we meet again. I hope you're happy now. As i was with you, The pain you have suffered, i hope its now gone. Soar free, my dear friend. You're free now. And until we meet again, Farewell, my angel. Petra Schenk Koch Thats not the lyrics. The text you posted is actually a poem written back in 2011 by Erik Jacobsson called "Min ängel" (My angel). Check this link out. www.ka.se/min-angel

It was me that told reckful about this song... my brother that was in rough times sent it to me, and it really got so strong to me i felt i had to share it.. god bless this man! Love you my brother and reckful as a fav streamer!
What an amazing song! I got chills and goose bumps. It has such a similarity to what I know of Native American Music. What's with all to goofy comments?
+Dano Pierce I know this is an old comment, but would like to respond to your question :) This is song is used on a website called Twitch.tv to callout a Girl Streamer that people think streams slutty because of example reasons (Showing booty, boobs, camel toe and vagina on stream which is not permitted on the website since its a gaming related website) So this song was used to make another song called LeaYouHoe. Hope this answers your question :)
Here is his latest song, just released today! Hope you like it!!! open.spotify.com/track/14G5zvwHFFSO9wtqkTPaD2?si=cB9nthfYTrG81UZ0Uh4vzg ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vGIJVcqzyUo.html
So Beautiful! Brings tears to my eyes but puts my mentality to peace. I slept well last night after listening to this, sang it alot today and decided to listen to it again. Makes me wish I grew up in a Snowy Mountain, especially if these are the songs they come up with or the jojk they create. Very beautiful, such a sad story behind it though. #RIPDaniel

that's exactly what this song is about.... I'm drunk af right now and I'm crying like a little bitch but hey bro... That's exactly what this is about, it's a joik.....
Fantastic.. powerful and full of emotion for the loss of his best friend. I have listened to this song over a dozen times and each time it brings me to tears. I have just downloaded his album from Spotify and the other songs are just as fantastic
My father died last night while fighting Midir and this song played shortly after his passing. Nick, if by some means you can read this... Rob and I will remember your sacrifice and I want you to know that it was not in vain. Alexa this is so sad... Play Jon Henrik - Daniel's jojk.
Besides the yoik, he also sings in south sámi language "Manne måjhtan datne, muj mov voelpe", which I think translates to "I remember you, my friend" or "I´m reminded of you, my friend"
Love this so much...could be on a film like Gladiator or Braveheart...I'd love to spend some time with Indigenous tribes, I love culture and we should respect all tribes and all people because it's beautiful, just like this song.
I just saw two consecutive comments that said "this song reminds me of my mother's smile, she died of cancer" and the next was "Rest in pepperoni's Reckful BibleThump" and idk about that guys mom, but I can imagine Reckful would have laughed at that contrast

When i hear this i feel true pride for the human race, like we're still capable of this kind of strength and beauty. It makes me feel like i want to remain in this world a little longer just to experience things like in the picture, like it'd be a waste to die now...
When listening to this think of all the rivers and forests all the animals and birds all the worn torn countries women and children fleeing living in fear, all effected by many shameless men. Then think of all the light and love being expressed from just one man Jon, we have the power to make the change, stay positive and share your chant... Aho.
