I can’t believe at only 50 years old I grew up as a black man with all my rights when a majority of my family members before me had no rights. I was born in what I refer to as the perfect year 1973. The birth of hip hop, a promising new future for black Americans who came out of the 60’s with a renewed vision for their future and the future of their children that would be me and everyone born in the 70’s and 80’s. Rock N Roll was real Rock. Hippies became professionals. Women’s rights and today at 50 I am seeing my country go backwards. My daughters have lost the right in Texas to control their reproductive organs. More rights are being stripped by black voters all through the South and some Republican held states in the North. I love history and the early days of American history is full of one side controlling most of the country with their archaic views and trying to force others in the box of their religion. I am a Christian who love my God and Jesus Christ but who am I to tell anyone they much believe as I do in a so-called free nation? It’s the right of all Americans to be free and to be free is not to be controlled by anyone else trying to force us on a box. Love who you want, wear what you want, drive what ever you want to drive, be who ever you want to be and believe is anything or nothing at all. So we now must vote in every local, state and federal election to remain free or else. All of us allowed the other side to have the power they have because many of us do not take local, state elections serious. Many of us vote every 4 years in federal elections. We can take back our power in November by showing BIG to vote out all these far right everything. Joe needs a majority House and Senate and hopefully this time they will take it seriously and remove these 2 blanks on our SC. I am a black man who simply votes for the best candidate and in the past I have voted for good Republicans. Now there is no such thing. They’re all cult members.
