She's a great vocalist, especially live. I've seen her 3 times. She does have many introspective songs. God bless the child is just one of them...and many meaningful ballads.

its not so much about their music being depressing. but about how depressing they USED TO BE. meeting people is easy is basically documenting that period. radiohead are much happier and different people now. ed even posted that on the website.
He said that sitting next the Radiohead might have brought her down. Meaning that Radiohead music tends to be depressing. And I think it's enough to know that the handgesture was just intended to indicate Thoms displeasure

I mean Im not complaining I came across this from searching Jonathan Ross for an interview I was looking for on his show, and personally would rather watch Shania. But I don't see why you didn't just cut it down to those 15 odd seconds of Thom, because there seems to be alot of people randomly talking crap about Shania...for what reason I have no idea LOL. Gorgeous lady inside and outside. I’m not Jonathan Ross’s biggest fan but at least this was a decent interview, unlike creepy Frank Skinner who spent most of the time discussing her body hair. Yuk! That was cringeworthy
I didn't cut it because I only had it as a .flv file and no software to edit it. And anyway, people who want to watch the rest can, those who don't want to just stop watching after the Thom thing. And I really don't think the length of the video has much impact on people's comments, you only need 15 seconds of Shania to talk crap about her. I can't say I don't agree with these people btw.
A .flv file basically is the format of videos hosted here on RU-vid for instance. As for talking crap about her, I don't mean about this video in particular, I just meant in general. And it's not about her, I'm sure she's very nice, but I meant the music... You can't compare her to geniuses like Radiohead. It's just not done.

Madison Kelly Maund She may not be the most talented vocalist, or the most introspective songwriter but she has admitted these weaknesses on camera tens of times, yet her music still speaks to people while being commercially viable to millions. If you had the childhood she did, I'm sure you would want to make enough money to not have to worry about it for the rest of your life, because the world is tough as it is to have to worry about finances.
Shania Twain's career's been going strong since 1993 all over the world. Can't say the same for this Radiohead group. And coming from Canada doesn't help. I'm Canadian, and I don't like the negative comment he made towards Canada...totally unwarranted and unnecessary.
