It's finally here and he has fixed the store! Jon Ruda's RVM (RAM) 3500 for American Truck Simulator! I am using the steam workshop mod that adds the correct logo to Jon's truck.

There is an option to show the speed limit for cars if you go into your settings, in case you're wondering how to change the speed limit so it's more realistic for hotshot trucking like this

Hey Jeff! Saw that you are doing the ATS vids again. I found another good map mod that might be good to check out. It's actually relatively new. This company called Team Reforma came out with this 1:1 fictional map that is pretty cool and feels as close to real life as u can get. They also make another map mod that includes a good chunk of Mexico which is fun to drive as well (and even includes a little slice of Texas!) that I would check out. Would be cool to see it in an upcoming video!

I truck for a living as I’ve mentioned before and have done some hotshot work when my normal rig is down and trailer sway and bobbing is definitely accurate, especially if the weight is centred over the trailer axles as opposed to more spread out. Side note, your ATS videos as well as a few other IRL RU-vidrs has inspired me to create my own content! My very first video should be up this weekend.

Hey Jeff, it looks like it might be a wheel mod conflict, whichever the ones the Cascadia traffic is using. The artifact only appears when the Cascadia goes by you. Hopefully this helps out slightly. Great video as per usual!

Can find better mods for free. I'd rather throw 25 dollar dono at someone who puts the mod up for free for all to enjoy rather than someone who puts up a sub par mod and demands money for it. And sorry if that upsets people, but just my opinion.

Wow, that is such an amazing mod and looks so beautiful!! I have been a Ram person for a long time!! Thank you Jeff for all the work you put in. You and all the guys have inspired myself and 4 of my friends to start our own gaming group. We do hope to some day to be able to play with all you down the road at some point

Thats what I'm saying. I've seen a few trucks that were up to $60. It was a Ford CL9000 cabover. But here is my issue. I refuse to pay for a MOD and then it not work. I would flip my fucking. I already have issues with some MODs on Steam. One of the MODs caused all AI trucks and some trailers tyers to turn purple and black. Another MOD completely crashed my game if I got too far from San Diego. It made no sense. I love the truck but they need to get a real job instead of modding as their job. It should be a lot more like the Farming Simulator Modding Community. Free MODs, done when they can, on the side, as something fun to bring newer players some more fun when they join the community. Not capitalizing on people who want a cool truck like their favorite RU-vidrs and kids with their mums credit cards. Its genuinely fucked up. I've commented on other video about this. I get that I'm not being forced to buy the MOD and if I don't like it I should make my own mod. Unfortunately, I don't have the time, tech, or skill to make my own MODs or I would. It's just sad that it has to fall back on the player either forcing them to buy the MOD or they just have to find something else or just have no MODs at all. As a new player, I was really excited to download this MOD and Hot shot from Dallas to Portland. I didn't have a computer at the time and I didn't know I needed most the DLCs. But why would I buy a $30 virtual truck when I could get the entire state of Texas and some other smaller DLCs? Its a waste of time and money in my eyes. Why are you going to make this beautiful MOD but not make it for every one to enjoy? I wish a modder would answer this.

I feel you. It's the same with the Skyrim mod community now, I remain loyal to the modders who say, it would be great if you could donate something for one mod or another, if it's a good mod that inspires me for many hours, then I'll be happy to donate something. I think $1 - $5 is absolutely ok if you think about how much time and expertise it takes to design and finish a mod.@@jamesbarkley8523

Jeff you can get rid of the airbrake and backup beeper with this truck by going into the open def file of the ram click the def folder, then vehicle, Truck, Ram.3500 and then hit the chassis folder. Once there open the sound.sui file and you can delete the lines for airbrakes and reverse beeper and change the number of sounds to 5. After that you're good to go just put the open def file above the other files and you're good to go

So I bought the truck from Jon. On all the logos and stuff, it is a bit off and says "RVM" instead of "RAM". How do you fix that for it to be on-brand?

if only scs could add cars to the game, they would get a lot of new customers. but they don treat their games as commercial products, its like some bedroom hobby that they develop when thy feel like it, not because of demand from the people. to this day, simple things like opening doors on trucks, is yet to be added probably in 2055 when they feel like it, let alone other interactive features.

I went and seen top gun in a IMAX theater. I grew up with the old movie and old pc games. Windows 3.1 I think lol. I think they done a awesome job on the new movie!

I have drove a 3500. I transport 5th and bumper pull RV's. The engine sound is off but not by much. The sound matches more with a delete kit but still not quite. Just thought I would answer your question. As far as trailer sway it depends on traffic and wind conditions it can be pretty extreme even with DRW trucks. Sorry if I mistyped somewhere I'm currently pulling one rn with a chevy 3500

Hey Jeff, sorry I’m advance if you’ve done so before, but have you ever mentioned and/or screenshotted your nvidia overlay settings? I also have JBX and switched to reshade because I wasn’t happy with the way my overlay tweaking was looking, but your overlay looks way better than the reshade settings I have so I’d like to try overlay again with better settings. Very cool looking truck! Also I watched the first Top Gun before seeing the new one a few days ago just to refresh my memory, and man - talk about cheesy! I swear that movie was a lot cooler when I was younger. It has its iconic moments, but I found myself laughing throughout most of it. The new one was way better! I think only because it's new and the first one just seems very outdated at this point, and definitely some parts just didn't fly right (pun intended).

Love the game, I am not interested in driving a pickup, but whatever. They have the new trailer DLC pack. I don't drive my own trailers, but it keeps them going until they can get Texas and then Montana released.

I've always thought Flight of the Intruder was a far better movie than the original Top Gun movie. Even as a kid I loved it more than Top Gun.

I don’t do any hotshot trucking but my grandfather pulls a 33ft. travel trailer and if a small gust of wind hits the side that thing will start to swerve at highway speed. That’s why he doesn’t go over 60 mph when it’s a bad wind day

I will say, unloaded trailer going flat out downhill is absolutely terrifying. The truck and trailer sway like crazy over 80, and over 100 it's damn near uncontrollable. Definitely fun to try and go as fast as possible before crashing 😂😂

I haven't seen the Top Gun sequel yet, but based on trailers for the movie that I've seen ads for here on RU-vid, it looks promising. I have seen the original (and my younger sister absolutely loves it as well), and one thing I love about it is the "Danger Zone" soundtrack in the opening scenes, which is now stuck in my head for the rest of my life. :D

I’m very curious if this Ram 3500 is like the ones in real life. My parents always have a Ram 1500 so I’m not sure if it does. But I’m very intrigued to know now if it is accurate. It sounds very lovely nonetheless
