I like how they say that she needs to articulate a detailed plan when the guy she's running against can't even form a coherent sentence. Shouldn't he need to be able to articulate a plan as well? Or as a minimum, some sort of cogent thought that implies he still has any connection with reality? Her plans are 1000% more detailed than Trumps and actually make sense. You don't need to agree with them but the whole point of tariffs is to increase the cost of goods, so if you're concerned with inflation, that's the last thing you want. There are reasons to use them but it's to insulate specific local industries from products getting dumped into the country due to unfair government subsidies. But they still increase costs in that case as well. In the automotive industry, you could have EVs for under $20k if there weren't import restrictions from China. But there are, so costs start at 50% higher. When you bring that onto consumer goods that just aren't produced in the US anymore, it just increases costs by whatever the tariff value is. So if it's 40% of things from China, basically whatever you buy from Walmart is going to be 40% more expensive and you're paying the difference.

A interviewer should ask Trump some basic governance and constitutional questions... See if he can answer what kids used to be taught at school in civics. And then after his word salad the interviewer should ask "So you don't know the answer? You haven't given it to me." And when Trump finally stops rambling, the interviewer says what the actual answer was. And then turns to the camera and points out that Trump couldn't answer such a basic question. It would be devastating, and make that journalists career.

And everything his supporters think he isn’t.

What is Trump’s economic plan? Low bar for him. Fight inflation with Tariffs raising prices 20%? He has no idea…
