Me too!.... I still remember the first time I saw this. It made my stomach hurt because that was brutal. I know it's a roast. But there's still a line somewhere. She called him fat, and he reminded her that she will die alone and can never have babies... It made me hate him forever.
Sure about that? Having fame and a great career is great for those few women who achieve that, but once they get into their 40's, they tend to get lonely. It is awkward not to have any kids once you get into your 40's.
@SocialPoint 24 And you will be lonely, empty, and unfulfilled. Once youth fades, a lack of your own family will cause you pain. That beach gets old. So do possessions. You can't fill that giant hole with drugs, possessions, and money.
I mean…he’s not even 40 and he’s Oscar-nominated with 65 on-screen credits and a net worth of over $70m…but ya, he’s clearly failing and I’m sure you’re doing better
Yeah. Was uncomfortable. “Hey you can’t have children”. Next, “Seth was in green hornet a shit, and James made bad films”. Bit of a different vibe. You could see her cry kinda inside
After this sarah was crying like a baby about people joking about her age... so she wants limitations on jokes, even tho she has told some of the most offensive jokes in her time... what a hypocritical thing to do.
He dident do it all those women just want money trump went threw the same thing and finally all the women came forward in court and said they were paid actors after years
Jonah's jokes were over written. Didn't come off natural nor intentful. His delivery was perfect. The jokes were over engineered though and in terms of wording and cadencing. For example the riffing on Jeff as being the reason why Jonah wanted to be successful. The punch line wasn't quite a punch line in that it lacked any punch. I think a better rewrite would see a more developed riff rather than a skimming passing few comments. No meat to it nor dept.I'm only contributing here for discourse. Any thoughts from others in the comments section? Ultimately I didn't laugh nor cringe. It was a bland roasting but by a dynamic comedic actor let down by over writing and wording for otherwise mid level joke material that would have been more effective if sold less . Ps. I think jokes at a roast are sanctioned by the context but personal tact and choice is still in motion. The Silverman baby baring joke was so uncleverly included in the bit on her that it just seemed a cheap shock humour inclusion at the expense of Silverman's feelings. A tactful comedian would have woven this into a more developed riff about Silverman but with the punchline being an elaborate yet obvious reference rather than an on the nose and careless bullet point. It seems Jonah is still funny but has lost some of his writing skills for stand up. None of his jokes made me laugh and not for lack of delivery or enthusiastim. The jokes just seemed like the first draught you perform to close friends for their opinion before refining the final iteration. Honest opinion, not funny but not unskilled. I suspect for joke writing Jonah has yes men for friends. Disagree?
@@sdot5389 why, what's my word count? Was I trying to make an audience laugh with jokes that were flatter than a pancake but had more ingredients in it than a ratatouille? We accessing jokes here or each others comments now?
