Okay....I got the feels when he was asked what he wanted to do when he gets older...I thought crocheter, artist, business man... No.... He wants to be a surgeon, go back to where he was born, and give free surgeries....My eyes instantly watered! 😅

I'm so proud of you Jonah in high school I had a hard time running my mouth and finally the teacher called me crocheting in class but yet I was taking all my notes and my grades were improving and I wasn't talking as much so I crocheted in class and made gifts for my teachers they bought the yarn and I did the work so congratulations I'm glad to see that it works for somebody else I am a 66-year-old great-grandmother now

He tells us on his RU-vid channel that he has recieved a certificate of honorary surgeon from University of Wisconsin. He had been invited to spend a day there and he was actually able to practice suturing👍(I think he said he sutured chicken skin) Check out his channel Jonah's Hands.

A tually! Most surgeons ...when working with a favorite nurse will do their surgury and leave the "closing" to a highly competant nurse...his manual dexterity is the key here! Plus when practicing for a particular surgery...the concentration part is key!

Part of crocheting is knowing how to tie different knots actually. As for the needles, most crocheters sew the “tails” of the yarn in at the end to hide them within the piece itself. so I think he’s got it all covered 😊 it’s really a great skill

This young man is absolutely amazing! When he said what he wants to do when he "grows up", all I could think was... And you will! You can tell by his speech that he's incredibly intelligent and so mature for his age. Great job Mom & Dad!!! We need more young people like this!!!

In Ethiopia, crocheting, embroidery and other needle/cloth crafts are what everyone does. He is actually working well within Ethiopian culture and habit. AND he is so eloquent, well spoken, and well-behaved, like most Ethiopian kids.

I was just showing my neighbor Jonah's website. He is so amazing and inspirational. I came across his work when I was looking up patterns. I believe that the home art such as crochet sewing embroidery should be taught to all children. We should do everything to bring it back. I am so blessed to have found Jonah's Hands.

He’s a cute young man on a great mission and I’m so glad he’s found a way to cope with life. And he made booties for Baby Hope and said her adoption is close to his heart, how sweet. Another black articulate kid, they need to profile more. There are millions of them that are not seen. I did not have to see this to know that, more people see the individual than the color of one's skin.This wonderful woman saw a child that need a loving home no matter if their will be difficulty in the progression of his growth and she did not let that stop her from stepping in to fulfill that role. I pray he never gets hooked to video games. That's why so many youths aren't honing into their talents and making the world a better place. My son has so many genius abilities, but once these video games came out, his time did too.
