Jona is really one of a kind. Before she was a quote and quote “biritera” but im glad shes finally found her niche and opts for a more expressive type of singing but blows it out of the park when needed.

That's how I describe it also. She has emotion in every word, every note, just with the tone of her voice and inflection. That, and the variety of tones she can use and her range and dynamics all contribute to making her, in my opinion, the best singer.
Actually Mori and others cant sing Jona's song. Because, though they may produce highnotes needed, but the amount of emotion.. If you ralize, everytome Jona's song is covered, they seems to always flop

O ha! Before niyo sabihing copycat ang PPOP pakinggan niyo ng maigi ang sinasabing OPM.. OPM is influenced by a mixture of Western Pop, Jazz, Blues, Folk, Ballad, Country, Rock, etc even artists way of writing and style of singing.. The best way to say is that they want to preserve the full band experience of OPM and the ballad love songs that we are used to hearing in OPM..

It requires much more force, buong head at chest mo coordinated. Jona in general is using masked resonance by nature. Almost all her techniques will require full force from her chest to head❤❤
Jona doesn't do true whistle tones; hers is a super head voice. Mahirap ang whistle tone lalo n kung meron harmony and vibrato. Super head voice is falsetto as falsetto can be.... pero straight tone lang siya... Watch her duet with Mori sa kantang Emotions ni Mariah Carey to hear the difference... Peace po! ❤

Sa Pilipinas, si Mori, Elaine and Lani lang ang nakaka-navigate ng tune within a whistle tone.... All the rest cannot do riffs, runs and vibratos within their whistle tones. Kahit nga sa mga black R&B artists, bilib sila sa mga meron "true" whistle tone registers eh. And for the highest sustained chest belts, Soh Yang of South Korea already owns that so I guess anybody else would be second fiiddle. Just being honest about it po.

The good thing is when she performs with Katrina or Sheryn, she is bigger by comparison. If she wanted to she she could overpower them with her voice, but she is excellent at duets and harmonizing, yet shows off what she can do when she's featured.
