A lot of people look at Kevin and are like "must feel bad to be the least successful" but I'm like "???????". Success isn't measured by fame, it's measured by your personal goals and what you want to do with your life. You wouldn't look at someone who's only wanted to be a doctor their entire life and feel bad for them because they're not a celebrity, right? Nick and Joe obviously want to pursue music, but I had a feeling since the beginning that Kevin wasn't all that into it. Not sure what he's up to now, but he must've wanted a family early on because that's the path he took. And I bet to him, that's his success. It's absolutely ridiculous how so many people view fame as the ultimate thing to achieve in life.
kevin did want to purse music and he’s always loved it. but there’s a difference between being in a band and being a solo artist. kevin felt better fit in a band, he preferred bands. a singer, a drummer, a bassist and a guitarist, which is what kevin is, he’s not a singer he’s a guitarist. nick and joe are singers, nick just occasionally played guitar because he could and he liked it same with drums, joe doesn’t play instruments, even tho he probably can if he really wanted to. people forget that kevin is ONLY a guitar player and not a singer unlike his brothers. so they think just because he didn’t go solo it means he’s unsuccessful, when he didn’t go solo because he’s not a vocalist and he probably didn’t want to start another band, he had fun with his brothers for nearly 15 years so now it’s time to live his life and do something different. some musicians don’t want to be musicians their whole life. and some people just fit better in bands. like me myself i would prefer a band over being a solo artist, because that’s what seems fun and better to me.

I remember those days in which these guys were popular and how annoyed I was having to see merchandise from them everywhere but compared to shit ass crap artists like Justin Bieber and 1D these guys are way better singers and writers, they wrote all their songs and they can play their instruments and their songs are decent and some are great, I prefer listening to these guys than the shitty artists nowadays, and I ain't a fan of this type of music but I respect talent when I see it.

I liked it so much I started looking into the rest of ID’s discography (which at that point only included Night Visions and the EPs/ unreleased tracks) (although to this day I say the EP’s are their best work). Then I had a favorite band. As for the why, I guess I had a very narrow view of music as a kid. Like it could only be pop love songs maybe? Cuz that’s all I heard. But now I understand it can be literally anything. Right now I have about 1,000 songs bought on itunes (with more being sought out every day) and about 20 cds that I play in my car 👍🏽 I also used to write songs and rap alot and I’m trying to get back into that
