That speech made me cry, too! "In the beginning I was asking myself, 'Why me?' and then I started to ask 'Why not me?'" That was my favourite part. And that song, Eternity (?), was BEAUTIFUL. I had never heard it before. Thank you for posting!

I may not have cried but what he was brave to share something personal...that makes him a gr8 person. My mum has type 2 diabetes too that's 1 of the reasons I care. He shows the whole world that an illness can't bring him down.... I love u nick!!!!!!

Nick is such an inspiration!!! I don't know if I would ever have the courage to do what he did that day when he announced his diabetes! I really look up to him. He does so much for everyone else, and doesn't just care about himself. He is so amazing, and not just because he's famous. He started the Change For The Children Foundation when he was only 10 years old... He's one of my biggest role models, even though I'm a girl, I still look up to him a lot

I have diabetes and have had i since Kindergarden for 10 years and it realy makes me angry to see people calling him ignorant when like you said they have no idea about the emotions. . . When you get older and think i through it just really puts you down. . .And its good to see that someone gets that

i found out the day before i went to this concert that i had type 1 diabetes and i talked to nick and he inspired me (: Nick helped me out when i had no idea what he was going thru... I love you Nick!

they are so sweet. They seem really good with kids too. Nick almost made me cry, I had to skip it because when I watched it before I did and I have a headache and didnt wanna cry again. I Love Eternity too, I have it on my phone.

omg that was funny how when he took his jacket off everyone was like "YEAAAHHHHH" LOL and then he smiled. lol he's so adorable and he is the most amazing person in the worrld to be able to have diabetes and still do the things he does. I LOVE YOU NICK!!

I was diagnosed about the same time as Nick...I had all the same symptoms & am on a similar pump I am glad someone is out there trying to tell people about it because I was hours away from dying from an undiagnosed case...thank God for doctors and the research that is being done...I can't wait till the day a cure is found

my mom,ex boyfriend[crush],aunt,uncle,old best friend, um, alot of people i know have diabetes and its so sad, i support diabetes 100%, and its really a serious matter, so if anyone says its not, it is. and, one day there will be a cure, and i can't wait for there to be one, I SUPPORT AND LOVE YOU NICK!!

both types (1&2) run in my family. Thank god neither me, nor my brother has it. But i really look up to people, like my dad, who do deal, and cope with it. There have been some crazy times in my life when we thought i had it, but i dont. Im still young, so i may eventually get it, but hopefully, i will never have it. God bless all of you who do have it, and try to deal with it. God bless you!

Ok, seriously. Nick is doing an amazing thing. Hes spreading the word about diabetes. Hes useing his fame as a tool, to raise awareness for those people who cannot. Nobody is more important then anybody else. Just because Nick is who he is doesnt mean the disease treats him any differently then kehcowan's dad, or my dad for that matter. and i think the people comming on here to comment should really check their facts and know about diabetes before making such bold statements.

Some of you people are ridiculous, Nick Jonas NEVER will deserve to die. All his life, he hasn't done anything wrong, he does everything for other people. He says that he just wants to make his parents proud. A disease is a serious thing, and I know that as long as I don't have it, I'll never know what he goes through. But even though I'm absent of it, I still feel sympathy to all people who do have it. And no one in this world deserves to die from a disease they can't help from getting.

I know exactly how Nick feels. Although I am not diabetic, I'm epileptic, and I was diagnosed when I was 13. It's horrible sometimes. You can't walk out of exams chatting with friends about what it was like, because I am in there with extra time. Sometimes you think "Why me? Why did they choose me? And it was so stressful for the whole family, especially because I was crying a lot because I couldn't come to terms with it. I didn't want to believe it. So I know exactly how he feels.

this really made me think. i went to the doctor to get my physical for basketball the other day, and the doctor tried to tell my mom something in a whisper, but i had heard the words risk and type 2 adult... so they told me i was at risk, i'm a 11 year old girl and i'm 142 pounds. I think i'm glad i knew, god sent me a message that day, and after watching this so did nick, i pray for nick and hope u all pray for me. thanks

wow people? really ... he doesn't talk about his diabeties to steal attention from everyone else. he does it to help promote awareness and research for the disease. he single handedly has done so much and raised so much awareness and money for funding and research. people getting mad about that is just rediculous. he promotes it, and talks about it to help other people. not himself.
