I am so lucky to have the wonderful "Kaufmann Wagner" cd conducted by Donald Runnicles. The Wesendonck lieder are some of the most beautiful songs to be heard and I think they are probably quite difficult to sing wondering around different keys the way Wagner does, although I have to admit this one is very melodic! It's gorgeous and there simply is not another voice like Jonas Kaufmann's who can bring out such absolute beauty. Nobody can sing lieder as expertly and exquisitely as Jonas Kaufmann can.
