This house and this man is literally the reason i started doing interior styling and design. I never saw any designer who's taste matches so much with mine. I love the unexpected things that some people might perceive as clutter and clashy. In my opinion its exactly these things that make the space exiting, they save it from predictability and therefore boredom. Never walk on paved pathways, that would make you a copycat. For me it can never be 60s and 70s enough….Love you Jonathan and Simon
renico123 ☆☆☆ renico, we are birds of a feather. This is my style and taste as well. While watching this episode, I was about to turn off the tele when these two came on. It was like a breath of fresh air.(the other houses were all white, nice....but not much personality). This felt like home to me with the eclectic furnishings and saturated color palette. Their decor and personalities were so inviting. And i am onboard with anything 60's or 70's. I also love their dog....foxy lady. Who would have come up with such a cool name(thanks Jimi Hendrix). To say the least renico....you have exquisite taste. Peace and love.
What an amazing home and couple. The home is chunky...funky...and fun. A direct reflection of the homeowners persona. The gravel courtyard and the fireplace were the clincher for me. I turned my driveway into a gravel courtyard years ago complete with furnishings, fireplace, Asian sculptures, waterfeatures and shrubbery.(so relaxing). These two are so quirky and fun and make you feel right at home. Foxy lady is adorable. (Check out their n.y.c. apt.) Thank you for posting this gem. Peace and love.
Great couple, great location, great house..... BUT the relentless interior clutter is exhausting. My favorite part is the kitchen island mural. Love the fantastic mid-century style wildlife. (Sorry Adler didn't mention the artist by name.)
Wow you are very creative potter. I make pottery ,and I just got a kiln and pottery wheel. I hope I can get all hook up. I use made pottery at the Harford community college in Bel air Maryland.
Fun couple! I'm not a fan of the decor. All the colors are an awesome break from the super serious, monochromatic home decor that's popular today, but their place felt a little cluttered. Needs a bit of editing.
Like their city home, I also love the interior of this property, the interior of their beach home is gorgeous... But not like their city apartment, for some reason I feel the interior of this beach home is "fighting" against the stunning exterior.... There is no coherent or harmony between inside and outside... It's almost like two different world, and they are fighting against one and another... I almost feel I can breath freely when the camera take it to the outside...
AS 7TR -- I concur 100% .... A disconnect with architecture, location, environment, and tranquility. Re: interior, I want to shout "give it a rest" (But I know it pleases them..... so what the hell.)
This is a case for the statement: "There is no accounting for taste." That said, nothing in this house is beautiful/gorgeous and most of it borders on atrocious.
