Unpopular opinion: don’t ask questions if your not ready for the answer. The guy gave his honest opinion and got backlash, then as a society wonder why men don’t open up. Some men are just open/ blunt and unfiltered. Don’t get me wrong I would be hurt by his response of that was my partner.

You two amaze me and I love the topics you share on. So many young people should listen to you especially since these are unspoken topics or life experiences in Mexican/ Latin house holds. Kudos to you I’m definitely having my two young adults listen to you. I’m fortunate that we have an open relationship when it comes topics but it would be great for them to hear someone in their age range perspective.

I think women should accept facts, if he can’t be truthful to you without you getting butthurt then what even is the relationship . I was married before and when I stated to date and got together with my new husband. He would ask me things about my previous relationship and all I told him was like I was with him for 11 yrs and Toward the end he didn’t do right by me. I left and I took care of my kids and he tried to ask me about intimate stuff and I just told him, am not going to tell you anything about my intimate relationship. It’s the past and am not going to ask anything either cuz it matters from now on.

I rather not know. And I think the past is the past and it also depends how good your relationship is and you don’t mind having that conversation. But I wouldn’t ask either.

Currently single, y de lo que veo or vi is that if you ask someone what they are looking for they will be honest and say what they are looking for. I would never ever tell my new partner anything about the pass. Any x’s or anything that was in my pass. It’s the pass and it doesn’t matter, as long as am not hurting him it has nothing to do with him. I seen first hand when my friend told their new partner shit they went through with their ex partner . He would hold everything against her and since her x treated her bad, he also treated her like crap. And when she would tell him. He would be like, well you let your x treat you like that and now you care. Why etc

So about the topic of “men providing is enough” Jonathan made a great point of saying “depends how they are raised.” But I think he was wrong with the part of him saying that moms did a shitty job raising their sons. The reason is because it honestly depends how the mom was raised too. My mom was raised in a machista household in Mexico. She only has one older sister and six brothers. My grandfather was a machista that was also an alcoholic. He spent his time drinking and “providing” for the house while all 8 children plus my grandma maintained the house and the store they owned. So with all of the said, my mom really didn’t do a bad job raising my brother, it’s just that she was accustomed to do everything for the men around her. However on the other hand, my dad never made my mom feel like she had to do any of that when they got married. My dad has a story of his own. My dad always helped my mom with chores at home & he loves cooking for us. My brother moved out of the house but my mom still does his laundry 😐 so technically there is still a problem there but honestly I’ve learned to mind my own business because although I love my brother, it’s not going to be my problem if he doesn’t find a woman who does everything for him like how my mom did for him.

After 14 years being with my partner , this years he just started asking me what was my body count.
