I’m glad that Frakes has his hold on the reins of Star Trek storytelling.

I love interviews like this. I was about 10 when TNG was first aired, and even though I knew it wasn't real, it still felt magical. I couldn't imagine the actors being regular people working a job. A small part of my brain felt like they were really in space. I'm so glad I got to see TNG through the eyes of a child, and it's fascinating as an adult to hear these real-life stories from Katee and Jonathan. Thanks for doing such great work, and also for respecting fans even when things get... malodorous.

I love that you talked about DragonCon! I went for like 10 or so years in a row before I finally had my fill. The con stench is no joke either. I stayed at the Marriott Marquis (aka The Mother Ship) one time and when you're in your room it's fine but when you open the door to leave... OMG it's like the entire hotel is a wind tunnel of BO. It really knocks you back!

4 days is too long? No one tell her Dragon Con is actually 5 official days (Thurs - Mon) and a lot of people show up on Wednesday for the 'count down to con' party in the Marriott attrium.

My only Convention experience (except helping run our small college Anime con once) was completely accidental: I went with my wife to a meeting for her work in Chicago, and I was going up in the elevator when who walks on but Levar Burton! Later on, I saw him meeting up with Michael Dorn and Jonathan Frakes in the lobby. Turned out the hotel was literally right next door to the convention center, which had a con going that weekend, and at least some of the special guests were staying there. I don't know how we got rooms, except that the medical meeting my wife was attending must have had a block reserved. So that evening we walked across the street and got tickets to the Next Gen panel, which was in a separate auditorium, and wasn't super full for some reason. It was a pretty good time.

haha when they started talking about Dragoncon it brought me back. It's absolutely one day too long, but if it was shorter it would feel one day too short! and LMAO the "olfactory factor"

Gotta say, Discovery was unwatchable, woke garbage. Strange New Worlds was brilliant. Except for the annoying red head. But hey, that’s just me. Frakes is the man, would love to sit and have a beer with him. Katie is pretty alright as well. Now the big question, Starbuck or Moretti? Hmmmm, I’ll take Vic. Loved the character. Cheers!
