I was SO sad that they canceled 'Lovecraft Country''s 2nd season. It was just TOO excellent & out there for most people to enjoy so it didn't get the numbers it needed to get the greenlight. Cottdamn execs just can't get beyond the almighty dollar & see the value of art for art's sake. Just sad.

Instead of compromising, they canceled her show, implying she was too difficult to work with and that it was high tension on set. Miraculously, none of the co-stars, including Jonathan, never made reference to her being difficult. Then HBO tried to later say she covered everything in the book, so there was no need for it go on any further. She already had S2 script wrote. It would have been watched. HBO big people was just hating.
