An amazing collection of steam power machinery with every bit of it funded by a single man without tax dollars or county funds. Jonathan is an amazing mechanic.
You've done a wonderful thing, bringing those machines back to life to show folks who've never seen one run how they operate. Things keep going like they are in America, you may be the only one around with electricity!
Thanks Scott. It is good to hear from you and Jonathan. Sometimes I worry when you go dark for a while. I know sometimes work and life gets in the way, but I appreciate your posts.
That's a fine presentation of the show room. From Jonathans videos alone I got the impression of endless collection without more than one or two engines running. There's a lot to explore now for an interested visitor.
Those are some fascinating engines that you have saved and brought back to working condition. That was fun watching all of them working like that. Thanks for the video.
Loving all those steam engines turning, Jonathan, great video, especially the steam whistle. I retired a few years ago from our local steel mill here in Southern Colorado. Years ago when I started in '74 the mills were steam powered especially the Rail Mill. Next to the old Power House were the Blast Furnaces and on the Power House was the very large and deep toned shift change steam whistle. The whole town heard it at 7, 3 and 11pm and Noon. Sadly over the years of the evolving of the steel industry steam was eliminated and the steam whistle is in a museum. Loved hearing yours, sounded just like a steam locomotive coming into town! Beautiful layout of your engines.
Thanks for showing all these engines running. I remember almost every one of them. Jon has done an amazing job getting them all together and in working order. all the best, mart in England.
These are such Awesome 'finds' and rebuilds. Thank you for showing us them, and how they were repaired and operated. Bet there's Dozens of kids waiting their folks to bring them there so they can watch, and eat some of the steam powered Ice-cream too ;)
Brilliant - a different comprehensive view of Johnathan's engines he has collected many examples in a short space of time, it just seems a blink of an eye since he got his first engine.
Have you considered opening a steam engine museum? The mason who constructed the foundations for most of these engines is an artist. Thanks for sharing.
My god you come a long way with these old engines I love these videos on these steam engines you’re literally brought them back from the dead you’ve proven your intelligences many many times Ive there’s not many people out there that would even attempt the things you done here keep up the amazing videos brother I love what you’re doing here you’re keeping the past alive. Cheers brother ❤
🗿💨 few days ago I acquired a 2in gate valve that was new, old stock, and it made me think of Johnathan W. Quality like is found in these steam engines is getting harder to find. Thanks for sharing they journey of these engines with us Johnathan 👍👍 much appreciated,, Peace ✌️
Holy crap! I saw one of his videos a long time ago when he was first interested in saving an abandoned steam engine from being scrapped. Some may say it got out of hand but to me it looks like he's got it well in hand! 👍
I dunno how ya slipped this one by me but ya DID EH !! THANK YOU fer postin. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this vid. We got to see a bit of yer collection EH !! I LOVE the ole steam whistle as well. That sound will still instill the lonesome EH !! WAVIN a hand lad !!
Very good Information on Johnathan W :) steam engines are so cool and plus like does in videos to ! Would love go see his Steam Engines and everything else done too someday! Love all done in RU-vid for past 7 years I watching he done ✔ ! 4 thumbs of excellent work he does and so neat also tidy too!
Absolute enjoyment watching all these machines which you have "brought back to life". I've watched all your videos that I could find which chronicled your efforts to retrieve and rebuild them. (If these videos were on a "Pay per view" channel, I think I would gladly pay to watch them.) Looking forward to seeing more of your projects - Be careful around all that live steam and rotating machinery- Walt B.
I would willingly sit a few hours talking to you Jonathan with the sounds of those steam engines just 'ticking over'. Thanks for sharing, great job on bringing these together & getting them to function. atvb t ..
Jonathan you still need a steam locomotive and a track around your property. There are still small mine and steel mill and so forth locomotives out there rusting. Towns that years ago put these locomotives on display in the park or playground or whatever sometimes want to get rid of them and they need to be rescued.
That generator huh? Boy that really kicked off industrial revolution. Now they could weld . It was on. I know they had steam and hydro machine shops too.
Hey Scott that was an awesome I can't wait to get up there next week and see all of you guys and check out the new steam engine said Jonathan got oh you have a nice day my friend
Jonathan the only thing you don't have is a steam locomotive. So when are you going to start laying track?😂😂😂😂 I do see a steam powered crane in your future for some reason........ Cheers Terry
I think he is saving that job for someone who told him it was a list item for him to paint that engine.... It is in the works, don't worry...😉... Hopefully we'll have the Hamilton up and ready by the next startup maybe...
Was good to meet you this day, Scott! You definitely got better video than I did... If that ugly fella in the cowboy hat would've just stayed out of your way🤔🤣.... Good show!
