Thanks for a nice review. I have experimented twitchiness with camber wide boards. They're boards which are wide, and it happened when my feet weren't wide enough. The twitchiness, disappeared when I sized down the board. My take is that. Imho, the twitchiness is due mainly to a stiff torsional flex. This happened to me with the yes standard UN INC.
Thanks for this review! You said you rode StromChaser size 157cm. I watched other reviews and they all suggest 6cm shorter than your regular board size. I am 5'7" weight around 190 lbs and thinking about getting a Strom Chaser 154cm. I always lean towards a bit longer board ( may be for stability). Do you think I should get a 157cm instead? Any advice would be highly appreciated. 🏂
Hmm. If you generally go longer I’d say 157 for your weight. But I bet you’d be happy either way. I think the other option is 152. I’m glad I didn’t go smaller; I’m a lot taller and probably have bigger feet than you, and I felt like the 157 was plenty stiff enough to charge yet nimble enough to slash and play around. I love it. My only thought about going 152 is because of your height and if your feet are smaller. I bet it’s still got enough beef for you, I t’s a pretty stiff board, but Jones would recommend 157 for you.
They recommended 157 or 160 for me. I'm taller but not as heavy (185 ish). I had also bought some boards on the bigger side already last year, so decided to do the 157. But I bet on the deepest days the 160 would be even better. That's kinda where I slotted in my 169 West on Japow. @@bandittwentynine5131
