I’m going home back to the house now I cannot was the time I got to go get some stuff for my dad and then I’ll come over and get some stuff done I can get you some food or anything I want I don’t want. The only way you should get your message about the new things is that they are going out and they are going out of the way you have a lot to do and they will get you in a better life than and you can get

this is pure african even of igbo, haha the jamaicans kept it cross the atlantic, when i was in Nigeria thats what we do perform from house to house with the same flute. watch?v=5iFssQMte68

I was looking for this comment. I'm of Igbo descent and when I watch this through, nobody had to tell me this was of Igbo origin. How crazy its still in practice up there. Its mostly observed during the New Yam Festival

I grew up in Jamaica and use to hide beside my Mom scared everytime they came around... now I am searching for videos to show my son Christmas in Jamaica. Decided not to travel this year. Thanks for sharing g!

What country ud this...and why a christmas market..Also is there a special reason to have it around christmas....I live in the Bahamas ...and out to learn about the difference between this and our Junkanoo

kumina is very much of Bantu origens as well. Many many Kongo-Angola descendents in Jamaica.

Yes I love it, all I see is carnival, that we have in london. When we came over here we brought are culture of the indigene american indians. It's a beautiful thing no matter how they try to suppress are culture etc. When we look at the America's we all have the same culture linking us to the lands of America's and no where else.
