Talking with Welsh Actor, writer, producer, musician, and Talk Sport Radio Show Host, Jonny Owen.
Talking about his routes in Merthyr Tydfil and the village of Heolgerrig he grew up in, discussing his old band "The Pocket Devils", as well as a host of the film and television shows and movies he has featured in, written, and produced.
Just two Merthyr boys having a good old chin wag via the media of zoom.

Absolutely loved this!! Watched on my way back to Heolgerrig today from Cardiff also introduced my partner to Heolgerrig myth and legend. So many shared memories. I’m not sure you mentioned Devil’s rock either? Regards Huw Battenbo. My dad was the Heolgerrig school caretaker 😎

Altought I'm not from there I think the beginning of this interview was brilliant. Stories of childhood and naughty kids growing up. Brilliant lads. lol

I can relate to going back to Merthyr and saying the different words by mistake. The last time I went back I went into The Crown and unbeknown to me ordered my round of drinks in Spanish! 🤦🏼‍♂️ The face of the barmaid was a picture 😂

@@GatoWales Are you from Rhymney then? I used to drink in a pub there called the farmers. Used to do a good bar meal too. Talking 1990s so not sure what its like now or even if its still there. Long time ago.
