Hello, i am new in Joomla. These tutorials are very helpfull to me. Please can you tell me is these tutorials still up to date (regarding that they are made 4 years ago). Thanks a lot.
Joomla is still at version 3, so yes, they're still up-to-date. There have been some minor changes to the positioning of some menus, but you'll easily work that out.
Hi, THe Top Level menu I created is not showing in the module manager when I want to create it. Its landing page so I don't want it to show on website but when I create the menu item for the landing page it does not give me the option of adding a single article. Can someone help please. Thank you
Using the sample template downloaded with my trial that has modules positioned to the left of the main content. I am using the Beez2 template on the frontend and the Bluestork on the administrative side. When I go to assign module position I don't see a corresponding position also the modules items on the left of my main content have been duplicated and the same information/links for the Main Menu module are being duplicated in a moduled called This Site below it. Nothing else shows up and not sure where I went wrong. Thanks :-)
how can i create my own modules ..i.e like Temperature forecasting , weather forecasting or sensex, gold rate ??? want to create on this any help u can provide???
I want to create a side menu. The problem is that my template doesn't have for some reason the option to create side menus and when i create one it just shows the links but the are not marked around as a menu would be. Theare are just small words(my menu items) one beneath the other on the side but without clear separation from the rest of the content (indicating a menu) . Now why does that happen?
The template may have specific styles that you need to specify to make it look pretty. In your module for the menu, there is an option to apply a module class. That module class that you need to enter might be something like, "menu". That will tell Joomla that it needs to display the links as a side menu and not as a list of links.
Sexy? Yes. British? No. And although you might find it frustrating to watch tuts from those with strong accents, I say well done to anyone who takes the time to do it. Producing training is an enormous and mostly thankless endeavour.
