Agree...never would have I thought this odd pairing would cause up a stir. It's been a year now since the MLSHR airing that some are so assuming there's a season 2 & something happen between them just because of LJG's behavior to IU especially in this SBS SAF awards night.

Don't you think it's being done for publicity? I know IU tends to like older guys, but she seems a little shy, although I think that is the way she is, nothing wrong with it. In a relationship sense, they seem reserved, so in that case they could be a good match. Overall I don't like it when people push the idea that there is something there because actors work together. Yes its cute but come on, they are people too. I think this Korean generation has changed a bit from what us really traditional. Not saying they have lost tradition, just that its evolving. I watched their offscreen fancam where LJG hug IU shoulders randomly when Han Suk Kyu got his Daesang. I don't think they are only close friends considering all the skinship he did to IU. Korean are still conservative about doing skinship. For them, skinship in public are done only between lovers. Just watched Lee Jong Suk-Han Hyo Joo and Song Joong Ki-Song Hye Gyo when they got their best couple awards. You will see the difference there. Btw, I'm uaena (IU fans) for 7 years.

Actually, I am Asian (and a conservative woman at that) and though Asians nowadays, especially the young ones are more open to PDA, it is still restrained compared to Western PDAs. And LJG has been known to avoid scandals by refraining from touchy feely stuff in public. He even admitted in an interview that he does not want to be seen dating a woman in public if he can help it and that is the reason there were very few rumored scandals in his past. Btw, my two married brothers do not display a lot of affection in public and they are already married. If LJG was telling the truth that they are just friends, then that's it. To be honest, in this video, IU had a lot of her skin exposed and LJG touched her bare shoulders and bare back and I really felt "shocked" that he did those things in public. Korean men are very careful about touching the parts LJG touched, even if the skin was not exposed. My guess is, and it is only a guess, whether LJG admits it or not, there is at least an attraction on his part that may or may not lead to something in the future. And I am not someone who likes to pair actors because I know acting is just a job for them and I don't like shipping any popular pairing. I read fanaccount by his korean fans who attended that awards show. This is not shown on TV, only fans who attended the awards show know this. During the part when IU sitting on massage chair, LJG was bringing IU's shoes, standing beside her until the interview ended and helped her to stand up. But, the massage chair is suddenly rattled, so LJG catched IU who almost fall from massage chair and even put her shoes on. In my honest opinion, they have something whether they are dating or not. If they are dating at that time, of course LJG agency wouldn't admit it as it doesn't provide with paparazzi photos. If they are really dating, I think it will get revealed in matter of time. Only time will tell everything.
