I'm late as hell but isn't the weaving pattern on the sneaker suppose to signify the train tracks/ train station where his wife and him met at? If u kinda look at the weave pattern it does look like train tracks and swore thats what union said it was suppose to signify and also be a tribute to the Nike footscapes. Which I think was the pair of shoes his wife was wearing when they met at train station.

Bro, great review. Hella late response to this older review. But I'm an OG sneakerhead since 1989, having my first true sneakerhead purchase a first release pair of Air Jordan IVs, cements. Want to say i love how you break down the story and the details of the shoe. I respect how you give love to shoes that don't normally do. Being in the game as long as I have, i feel some Heads over indulge in hype and apparent monetary value of shoes, which is fine. But i identify with Heads that choose a sneaker based on form, detail, storytelling and creativity and not hype. You seem to share this view and i appreciate it. In my opinion, that represents a true sneaker head.

I love the story and appreciate them doing something new. I still can’t get past the weaving going around the toe box. It should stopped before it met the toe box IMO. The shape is changed too much.
