Good video I just could barely hear you bro. I saw another video where someone compared the 97 to the 23 and the 97 was definitely taller and here it looked like they were just as tall as one another. I kind of like this year's over the OG too but just off the shape looking less chunky and blobby.
Don't why you clowns keep calling them cherries. The 12 design is Japanese theme, and it's obvious the color blocking matches their flag which is white and red. Perfect nickname: Japan 12. They can never get the shape right. Color of the red mud guard- OG red on the lizard embossed print is in the middle of the 2009 and 2023. The soles on the OG is the brightest red out of the 3. There is a contrast between the lizard embossed print on the OG, Jumpman tab, and heel part. The reason why, they actually painted part of the bottom of the shoe red and left the back part of the heel white. The slits on the translucent sole has gummy bear type texture on the OG. The 2009 and 2023 translucent part is the same texture throughout, both are darker than the OG. 2023 is the darkest. The eyelets on the OG are close to each other. Every retro 12 the eyelets are far apart. You can see how the red mud guards get closer and closer to the first eyelets on the toe box on the 2009 and even closer on the 2023 versions. The 2009, shape of the red lizard embossed print looks closer to the OG when it tapers off the toe coming to a point. The first eyelet was further down the toe box on the OG. Jumpman pull tab- Not sure about the OG, but the 2009 isn't as thick or wide like the 2023, could be different material used on the 2023. The wording Jordan- IMO OG and 2009 is closer in color, 2023 is the lightest. The 2023 lizard embossed print size is a huge improvement over 2009, there is more materials above the jumpman tab on the 2023. They still haven't gotten the shape of the lizard rand right especially on the lateral side if you compare to the OG. IMO, if you seen GS/Youth retro 12, they look closer in shape of how the lizard embossed print was on the OG. OG had the best leather, 2023 is close and better than the 2009 in that regard. All the Jumpman eyelets are different colors. 2009 I dislike the most out the 3, looks really tacky with that bling bling look. If they are not going to use metal, at least get the finish done like they did with the 2022 playoff 12.. OG had longer and thicker shoe laces. The tongue height- OG had the taller tongue between the 3, 2023 has the shortest tongue. 2009 tongue material doesn't measure up in quality to the OG and 2023. The leather folds over the nylon material on the OG. The 2009 and 2023 has they nylon material peeping out. OG are taller than the 2009 and 2023 version. The ankle collar doesn't slant as much on the OG as the other 2. OG has that boot shape to them. The ribbing of the rays stitching is better on the 2023, looks puffier or more defined. 2009 looks flat. OG is puffier than both the 2009 and 2023. Like I said: the shape affects how the entire shoe looks. IMO, the 2023 looks very good much better than the 2009 White/Red (Japan) and better than the 2022 Black/White (Playoffs). Wish they would used this leather on the recent Chicago 2. My favorite colorway out of all the 12. Sorry for the long rant. lol
