Really nice to hear you Jordan. I am Brazilian and I can tell you from watching Rebeca's behavior that she is truly sweet and as you said she really deserves "flowers". However, on my perspective I can see you are not only talented but also a great human being. People like you inspire me and I am so grateful for that. Thank you for being who you are. 🌟🌻❤️🌻🌟
It’s so nice to see how the gymnasts support everyone-whether from the same country or not! I love the sweet gestures and the camaraderie shown this year. Rebecca is a fantastic gymnast and deserves the flowers!
I agree. You see a lot of ego in sports but during the Olympics & Stanley Cup finals you also see that athletes respect each other. Seeing talent recognize & congratulate each other is heartwarming. I love the moment where the ladies praised Rebecca & it wasn't a one time thing (if you've watched their other interviews).
They made an error in judging that the coaches caught and everyone’s crying foul because it’s a black gymnast that got awarded over a white gymnast who had a lower start value. They should look at the beam event with the weirdness of the building and the many falls but no complaints about that. Congrats on Rebeca Andrade for her medals. Well deserved with all she went through
They objected against Sabrina's score (the 0.1 deduction) in time as far as I know, but it was (falsely?) denied. Atm it looks like they gave her that penalty because they thought her heel touched the floor out of bounds once. However, the footage seems to prove them wrong. If that’s the case, the judges gave wrong scores TWICE in an Olympic final. Jordan didn’t do anything wrong though. If the Romanian complaints are successful, Sabrina would end up before Jordan, but even then I think they’ll let Jordan keep her medal and give Sabrina another bronze (hopefully). What a shitshow that final was. And now imagine Jade had competed. She probably would have medaled and non of those judging errors would have mattered. It just shows how arbitrary this sport can be. Pretty frustrating. But I still enjoy watching them do their skills.
Congratulations Jordan. Seeing you at the Olympics was beautiful. Your joy, love & passion for life & the sport is 2nd to none. I hope you get to fulfill that NCAA journey & become NCAA Champion. Much love & respect to you & your family.
Beyond the medals, Jordan is truly a great person and an authentic soul! She is definitely one of a kind! I hope she has a great last two years of competing at UCLA!
jordan is THAT GIRL. i love her energy and she is so deserving of the medal. she did not steal or rob anything of anyone. her routine had everything that the judges wanted and brought energy that is unmatched. i love her so much
She´s that girl everyone should look after! I´m a 54-year-old Mexican fan who thinks Jordan is a beautiful, amazing, funny, talented, and cool example of life. She´s pure light and definitely enlightens everybody around her. I wish her happiness and success in her life. Thank you for those incredible moments that are gold for us. Infinite love and blessings always...
Jordan Chiles is such an inspiration! Hearing her share her Olympic journey and the emotions she felt winning her first individual medal is incredibly moving. It’s amazing to see how close she is with her Golden Girls teammates and how much she values the support from her coach, especially amid the social media drama. Jordan's humility and strength shine through, and it's clear she's not just a champion in gymnastics but also in life. Congratulations, Jordan-you’ve made us all so proud! 🥇💪🏽✨
Jordan is such a genuine person. You can tell that she's so kind and generous because of all those negative experiences in the past and I respect her a lot for it. She never has a negative thing to say about anyone and when people thought she was just Simone's shadow, she stepped out and proved she could hold her own. Bringing the artistry and choreography to floor. Placing 4th in all around qualifications in the WORLD. She's so likeable, genuinely. I hope despite the debates about the floor competition this Olympics people leave with a love for Jordan as an individual.
A complete superstar multi talented and a joy to watch her perform her art jordan also comes across as very sweet and humble pretty and super talented young lady be proud of yourself girl you were fantastic highlight of olympics. Well done superstar❤
Everyone keeps blaming Jordan when really they should be blaming it on the judges the most for making that error. I’m glad the coach fully explained it. I too feel bad for Ana Barbosu that got emotional, but it is what it is.
The judges made a mistake and did not score Chiles properly just like they did to Aly Raisman in 2012 and I didn’t hear whining or complaining from the Romanian then. Beam event should have been redone with the wrong beam
The drama isn’t just about Ana, but mainly about Sabrina now. Looks like she got an unjust deduction for stepping out of bounds when she didn’t. If her score gets raised by 0.1, she would end up before Jordan AND Ana. To blame Jordan for any of this is beyond stupid though. 🙄
@@mariusa.5863 No one blames Jordan. But she knows the way she performed her exercise and her coach, too. They both knew she didn't perform well and still contest her score, a contest after the regular time. I'm sorry, but where is the fair play?Or it doesn't matter any more, just because she is a funny, cute American girl?
@@maggie637 Apparently not! The rule says that the last competitor has only one minute to contest. The organizers didn't announce openly in the arena that Jordan had filed an inquiry. That's why, the results with the Romanian girl on the third place appeared on the screen. That's why Ana began to celebrate. They announced only the decision of the inquiry. This is the big mystery!
That’s wrong to attack her with DEI propaganda of hatred because she is black and they feel these black athletes don’t deserve to be there when it was the judges who made an error on an element in the first place. If you look at the qualifications event she came in 4th which was higher than the two Romanian gymnast.
I hate what they are doing taking your medal away. They cannot take away the moment and we will always know who the real medalist is. You will overcome and rise above the hate sweety. No doubt.
I hope Jordan doesn't put too much emotional energy in this appeal. It is really hard to earn bronze after Rebecca and Simone and Jordan really earned such a hard, difficult feat. Hopefully she can enjoy her medal despite this appeal. I feel bad for the romanian girl but Jordan earned it fair and square.
Except it wasn’t fair and square. Sabrina’s routine was devalued from 6.0 in team final to 5.9 which was not correct, they also gave her a penalty for stepping out of bounds which she never did. Had she not received that penalty her score would have went from 13.7 to 13.8 which would have beaten Jordan’s score. What’s fair about that exactly?
@@CurlyBoyChuck maybe. But at the same time the same judges who underscored Sabrina's difficulty level also underscored Simone's floor exercise difficulty level. So maybe the whole event is suspect. It could be that after the investigation, Simone is found to deserve Gold, Rebecca silver, and Sabrina bronze. But if the judges judged too harshly they may have also judged everyone in the same way, so maybe it is fair. I'm not sure really...
@@CurlyBoyChuck also don't forget the judges changed the score for difficulty but not for execution. Sabrina is appealing based on execution. To my understanding, judges will consider changing the score for difficulty but not execution, because it is so much more subjective. I'm not sure how strong Sabrina's appeal is if they are trying to appeal execution marks. Because then you can look at every deduction for execution and every gymnast will appeal every score and there would be no medals awarded...
EVERYONE... THERE WERE 2 ROMANIAN COMPETITORS. one of them Jordan outscored after the inquiry of her coach. Another one was given an UNDESERVED PENALTY that cannot be placed on inquiry. This girl's correct score should've been higher than Jordan's score. This is why a lot of people are pissed NOT AT JORDAN but at the judges.
Everyone saying Jordan doesn’t deserve the medal needs to get a grip. She is an incredible gymnast and the judges granted her that medal, whether you agree with their decision or not, it’s not Jordan’s fault. The Romanian gymnastic also made an enquiry and it was overturned, Jordan’s coaches making a successful enquiry doesn’t take anything away from her win. She deserves it so much and I’m so proud❤️❤️ Love You Jordan xxxx
Ms . Jordan Chiles . Please Come back in Los Angeles California 2028 Summer Olympics !!! And next time you will show the Winner in you!! Because for real you still deserve the Bronze Metal !!! Shame On I O C for taking her metal!;
The interviewer not knowing that the term 'uncle' is just an affectionate slang term for an older person you respect let's us know that she doesn't have not one black friend lmfao.
We asians call older men uncle too. We asians have respect for our elders. Uncle is not a slang word. Hawaiians southeast asians other polynesians use that word too not only black people use that word.
Uncle is a common term forvan older man in an ethnic community, across many, if not most PoC cultures (Asian, Black, Latin/ Hispanic, Pacific Islander, Native/ Indigenous People).
"Nobody can change that what you want to do in your life".. Simone Biles🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Jordan you are really blessed to have Simone Biles with you...Your last word when you said you are not a famous, when you consider you have done something for those who have sacrificed their lives for your accomplishment, that will be your real accomplishment... Jordan, you have definitely a golden heart, just keep this golden heart alive throughout your life & enkindle us towards our accomplishments...
Good for Jordan, she shined with her own light and the gesture with Rebeca was beautiful. It is so unfair that Jordan is being made to go through such a delicate situation as revoking the bronze medal, the ones who made the mistake were the judges and just because the review was done 4 seconds after the minute they declared the Romanian the "winner", the routine should be more important than the time. It is sad that the Romanian competitors believe themselves to be winners with this decision, it is self-deception since they know that if it were not for the time, the revocation of the medal would not have happened 🤦🏽♀️
I loved seeing Cecile really care for the other tram members even though she wasn't their personal coach. Like yes, if course you'd expect all the coaches yo say we'll done, check in with them, but time and time again, she wouldn't just check they were OK, but she'd double check they were OK. Like when Suni fell off the beam..
I really appreciate this interview, thank you so much! It felt honest, insightful, and inspiring. And it was more in-depth than what I am used to from US media. Very special to grasp Jordan's personality a bit more. Also liked how the interviewer took time to let her speak and asked open questions. Thanks for uploading 😊
Wow, that’s awfully petty. I think the way the whole situation was handled was pretty tragic for all on them. I don’t think anyone won here. I think they all lost and for that matter we have all clearly lost.
@@bridgetleach7638 Well said. The judges screwed up and we all lost. Anyone who can take joy in the undeserved devastation of someone else is petty and toxic to say the least.
@@ladyjane4726 You rejoice when Chiles got the medal, and Ana was devastated. Well, now Ana won (rightfully so) and you are all sour. I am genuinely happy for Romania.
@@spanishitalian9435 I’m glad you are happy. Ana celebrated prematurely. She should not have been so confident of the medal as the last gymnast hadn’t performed yet. If the judges hadn’t made an error with Jordan’s scoring there would have been no controversy. Jordan’s difficulty and execution won her a score higher than Ana’s score. The U.S. judge filed in time with video stamp evidence. The medal rightfully belongs to Jordan - just being fair. Not biased. But with all that being said, I believe that Sabrina of the Romanian team actually had the highest score of the three, but the judges deducted .1 because they thought she stepped out of bounds when she didn’t. I think the Romanian coach tried to inquire about it but was not in time. So they refused the inquiry. The judges messed up big time. But since by the rules Sabrina was no longer in consideration, it comes down to Jordan and Ana. Unbiased: Jordan won and Ana displayed unsportsmanlike behavior. I could only genuinely make a case for Jordan and Sabrina receiving medals. Ana just came into the mix of things because of her tears. While the all black podium was monumental and gave rise to some of the best sportsmanship and genuine moments in the games, I am also glad because it lets us see the true character and greatness Jordan has. In spite of this she will rise.
Sad she has to give back her bronze medal. The Olympic judges should never have accepted her coach appeal if it was late. You can’t award someone a medal and take it back because of a mistake you made
The judges probably didn't know 4 seconds had passed. I follow gymnastics closely. At world championships in between Olympics and other international competitions, appeals happen but not often and they are usually resolved within a few minutes. The thing is that team USA waited until the last minute to protest. The rules on the deadline were made stricter after the 2013 world's . Where one national team appealed every score as a tactic to gamble at a win and waiting until the last minute to deny others to appeal.
Jordan Chiles won fair and square. Jordan’s coaches did the appropriate thing in challenging the score…this happens more than on spectator may realize. Stop. Just stop…the correct winner won! Go Jordan Chiles.
It's not that easy though, I'm afraid. Google "Sabrina Voinea inquiry". It looks like she got falsely deducted 0.1 for stepping out of bounds. Without that, she would end up before Jordan. That final was a shitshow.
@@mariusa.5863did her coaching staff challenge the “false deduction” as you claim?? Jordan did deserve the corrected score due to completing the upgrade…in which her coaching staff did not apply for in prior floor routines but did here since she corrected the completion.
The judges got it white point blank. Jordan did not get the scores she was supposed to get and they corrected that anyone has a problem with that clearly doesn’t understand the rules and are just crying for the sake of crying and what controversy when there’s no controversy she was better therefore she won. They got it right Romania get over it.
@@jonp341 She did win it fair and square. She displayed the difficulty in elements and excellence in execution that won her the medal. If the judges hadn’t made a mistake in the first place this wouldn’t have happened. Jordan was and will always be the rightful owner of that medal. She is a champion in every way.
@@ladyjane4726 Sorry, but the CAS and the IOC already stripped her of the medal. Bronze belongs to Ana Barbosu, and rightfully so. She is the true 3rd place winner. We're so happy for Ana.
Will you ever stop over sensationalizing everything? The coach did what she’s supposed to do. Or more likely since she was 5th and the D score was low they tried the last resort of an inquiry. She’s did “stick up” she did her job. The fact that her inquiry was accepted but not Sabrina’s is the main issue here. Hope FIG will rectify the scores by Sunday but it probably won’t happen since this will be a precedent.
That bronze medal is not yours, Jordan. It's that Romanian girl's, whose dreams you broke. And don't go: oh, it's a lot bigger than me and was not my fault. You are a yankee and you totally support this kind of injustice, apparently.
Her coach explained what happened. The judges were the jacked up ones. Try to explan to you---- It's like u taking a test, and they mark correct answers wrong and you challenge it to say, see I got it right. They correct the score so now your test score is higher than ur friend's
@@erickanewand then later, EVEN THOUGH it’s agreed that the answers they marked wrong, were in fact right, they change your score back down to the lower grade… 😳 like WTF… how is this allowed?
TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION John 3 verse 16 said : For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. Come TO JESUS CHRIST Before it’s too late 🕊️
While her inquiry was correct and did bump up her score, the rightful bronze medalist is the Romanian who was given a penalty for going out of bounce when she didn’t. Jordan didn’t earn that medal, the Romanian did. And no the situation isn’t Jordan’s fault.
At least someone stuck up for her, poor kid. With a thieving mother fresh from the bootyhouse, and a father that Tommy Sotomayor describes best in his videos, at least ONE person, her coach, had the courage to go and stick up for her, so that she can take that lovely BRONZE medal (?!?) out of the hands of those awful Romanian ladies, who apparently had all goong for them. A modern Robin Hood story, indeed! Seriously, you cannot make this shaite up! Sport is sick, and is no longer sport.
The score was close enough to where you could argue that she did. Also what happened with Sabrina had nothing to do with Jordan. Take your complaints up with the right people and leave Jordan alone.
😂😂😂 I love how you managed to turn the person who started the BS by insulting these athletes as the victim the moment she gets called out!! YT women privilege & victim hood is unmatched 👏🏽👏🏽
See what happens when you're toxic in the world starting drama for a new mom acting as if she bullied u for only speaking her opinion on her RU-vid channel. Did you thank all the people your mother robbed to fund your gymnastics career for years
Do you know the whole story of what Mykayla really said to earn the ire of the current team? Not to mention her non-apologies. She's the bully who started everything and you're trying to paint her as a victim? And that's not even the first problematic thing she's done. She also once photoshopped her face over Gabby Douglas' (who is black) because she was bitter for not making the team in 2016. Mykayla Skinner is not someone you should be defending. She's terrible and a persona non grata in the gymnastics community at this point.
Jordan deserves the win, we should all learn to not to start celebrating till we are sure that the reason for celebration has been validated. God help us.
She literally isn’t. 😂😂😂 They got Jordan’s score wrong the first time and fixed it. Jordan’s coach isn’t the only one who filed an inquiry. Inquiries are a completely normal part of the sport.
They missed a skill she did the 1 and a half split turn. They went back and added it 0.1 on the score and it put her in 3rd place. The judges were really trying to screw Jordan over. If her coach didn't dispute it, she would've lost out
@@Madithemuggle Ana Barbosu has won our hearts. Jordan was moved up from the fifth meta to the third. She showed no sympathy for Anya. Jordan stuck out her tongue and was happy, it's terrible. Jordan should have shown sympathy for Anya. You need to respect the feelings of other athletes.
How was it a gift, something unearned? When the judges had overlooked one of her elements and it was brought to their attention, they made the appropriate correction. What can you make up about that?
@ladyjane4726 they just trolling, anyone that knows what happened wouldn't make such a remark. Her coach fully explained what happened even a baby would understand
Sabrina didn't step out of bounds and the bronze should be hers. Everybody including your mother knows that your medal is a fluke. You should voluntarily give it back to FIG to redeem yourself.
Her mother is proud of her and knows no such things. Additionally, don’t tell anyone what they should or shouldn’t do as though you know what it’s like to be in that situation.
That wasn't it, they didn't give Jordan credit for that split turn, so they went back and saw she did it and added it. It was .10 points. When she got that it put her in 3rd place. I even went back and watched her routine to see & yeah they missed it.
This wasn’t kind or necessary thing to state. She is capable of doing way more than a lot of us would even consider putting time, energy and dedication into. It takes way more than grace to be a solid athlete. It takes consistency, hardwork, and an unwavering determination to never give up. They sure don’t need the negativity either.
You contributed to the death threats to MS, Jordan, even AFTER she sent you a personal apology. You need to do something to fix this. Saying you don't like social media doesn't cut it.
The only person responsible is big mouth Skinner who thought her privilege gave her a get out of jail free card to talk bullshit about the Paris Team. Skinner herself needs to fix the problem SHE CREATED. Don’t be a hypocrite and blame someone else for your own mistake and responsibility to take accountability for it.
The judges missed a whole skill she did that was worth 0.1. It's like u taking a test and u get questions wrong that were right & u tell them. Same concept. U shouldn't post stuff like that unless you have facts.
@erickanew in school in a test there is just one teacher. Here there was more than one judge. All the judges missed her skill? Also what about when the judges wrongly ruled that the Romanian gymnast overstepped when she didn't? Even the commentators noticed that she didn't overstep.
@@afm1410 yes they missed her skill and corrected it. I don’t know why the other Romanian girl’s inquiry wasn’t accepted but that has nothing to do with Jordan. Surely you can see that?!
