I think this is the type of song that hits you the most when you're in that position in life where you have to decide what you really want to do with it. My husband and I had left the attorney's office where we purchased 60 acres that was part of my grandpa's origianl1000 acre ranch. When we got into the car, this song started playing. It is one of our favorites.

This song has touched my heart big time. Lost my Mom in June 2017, and my Dad 7 1/2 months later in February 2018, ultimately to a broken heart; it was a terrible period. Time has helped heal those wounds somewhat. What helps is to know that they were soul mates, and to know a love like that was real, I feel especially honored. My husband and I work hard to keep our love alive, yet it not a labor of love. So glad that we have their example of how to love and build that foundation needed to build a family, and spread our roots.♥️

I learned all the words and how to play this lovely song on guitar ... took me several weeks to get all the words cemented in my head and the chords down pat ... but it speaks the truth and as a live performer, I wanted more people to hear the words to this song, since many seem to have difficulty finding happiness. It's just a simple truth revealed by excellent songwriting and is refreshing from what's being played typically on country radio. 😀 I capo up 5 and play it in a G position and it sounds great!
