Paul Cantu your not suppose to paint the toe box clean it correctly and then use sole bright then the midsole you need to strip completely and repaint the middle and your not suppose to use a glassy white if you do you can mix matte finisher with duller to get a factory finish
Try a mix of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide or vinegar, make a paste with it, rub it all over the shoe and set it out in the sun for a few hours! Then, after that use a mr clean magic eraser on the leather and soles! That’s what I use for my daughters cheer shoes! They always stay clean and white! 👌🏼
I can see why you'd say that but definitely disagree, there were missing chunks of leather on multiple parts of the shoe so it looked fucked. But I'll make an update tomorrow without them being so shiny. So erbody can chill
Paul Cantu they look a bit to glossy but I understand why you painted them. I guess I just like the way a shoe looks when they have been worn in. sometimes a deep cleaning is all it needs. just my preference. looking forward on the update.
You should have used flat white. They look weird with the gloss. And the solebright works, only you gotta repeat the step like 4-6 times to see results. And then it still wont be as new but little bit better.
for re-icing, you have to do multiple sessions. so apply, wrap them, leave them for an hour or so and repeat until you get the results you want. Me personally, I use a heat lamp because the weather is so inconsistent.
UV Light * is best. Sunlight has to be hot ah for quick results & possible sole separation. Had 0 results after 4 tries with salon care 40 on retro 5s & 6s
Low fore realll these are the worst restoration I have ever seen. people spend more money on better shoe cleaner products because they really work and are worth it.
Idk who tf this but he is funny asf and I’m subscribing I clicked this thinking I was gonna be skipping a lot of the talking but I loved it and your humor definitely subscribing 😂
Technically just saying, he did clean the shoe. Shoe restoration INCLUDES PAINTING. He did all the cleaning he needed and because cleaning couldn't fix what needed to be painted, he painted it.
Probably should have used a flat white or sprayed the shoe with a matte finish. With the sole bright you would probably have to do like 4-5 6 hour sessions in order to see a difference. You will never get them completely iced. I use 40 volume creme and it works way better on like white rubber soles that have been yellowed.
You need to use matte finish, and ice soles require multiple sessions of sole bright. Also painting the liner with water and paint is going to make it stiff.
Love some Angelus but the God of Soles is crap. Use some Volume 40 cream from a beauty supply. Its a cream bleach. I use the 50 volume cream and it works amazing but you have to have a cosmetology license to get that one.
I’d still feel gross wearing someone else’s run down, smelly kicks. Idk if that’s just me, but I prefer spending the extra bucks and then scuffing them myself instead of wearing someone else’s used, dirty shoes
Not shooting down what you are saying, but from a personal stand point it seems easier to restore just have to wash multiple times use different cleaning products. Funds wise. You probably couldn’t even tell if they were used or new.
When i buy 2nd hand Jordan's I clean mine a LOT more thoroughly than this. I scrub the interior of the shoe using lysol (all-purpose) soap and a medium-hard brush at least 2 times to get any germs/stains out, completely rinse out and heavily spray lysol spray on them when still wet and allow them to dry that way. Also you can get laces, sock liners and ice soles un-yellowed and very clean using a baking soda/toothpaste/peroxide homemade paste instead of that store/online bought stuff.
