@@sirEthereal Easily the most terrifying thing ive seen in a horror movie in years. Being eaten alive, flesh disolved, bones crushed under the massive gastrointestinal folds. The cocaphany of over 40 screams really sold it to be as a solid horror film.
and it was the kindest thing it couldve done. remember they were still screaming even when it was over the house. they were being claustrophobically digested for _hours._
@@rokujo6894 at the beginning of the movie. The radio refers to "Missing Hikers" aka the noise at the beginning of the movie that caused the dad to die
Because this episode of Adventure Time was also inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's characters. It could be that Jordan Peele was inspired by that, and not by an adventure time episode. The dude is in his 40s he doesn't watch Adventure Time. We watch adventure time.
What is there to not get? A UFO begins to disturb the inhabitants of a ranch until it’s discovered the unknown craft is actually a highly adaptive organism with predatory instincts, one with the uncanny ability to change form. Said being feeds them off the organisms on the farms it floats above.
@@brandonlucky6441 I viewed it more as the fact that OJ’s ranch and entire property would be gone/bought if they didn’t fight to keep it- and in their way to avoid having to vacate, they stupidly risk their lives for filming this alien
He got the idea from many things like jelly fish cuttlefish and the flying polyp from HP lovecraft's stories. I wouldn't be surprised if adventure did the same with some of their characters. But it's cool how he made this movie seem like it was about aliens but in reality it was a creature feature.
A UFO that's actually alive isn't unseen as many think; Mater's Tall Tales had Mator and a Despicable Me 2 short featured Dave befriending a UFO from the Canis constellation.
@@alexdurain3753 was just about to comment this! Jean Jacket is a lot like Orga from Godzilla 2000 and the space monster Dogora from another Toho movie.
I love me some adventure time but that could hardly be the case. The being in adventure was more of a lovecraftian destructive evil and jean jacket was a fanciful take on a dangerous animal. But both are similar in that they took inspiration from an aquatic lifeforms. The entity in adventure time reminds me of an octopus and jean jacket a jelly fish. But the identities and plot around each is very different.
As someone who enjoys the lure behind Jordan Peele’s movies…but started the movie 3 times too many and never quite got into focusing on the plot……I’ve decided that Orgalorg is just gonna have to fill this spot in my imagination on this one.
So accurate! Did anyone else just scream and curl into a ball when they saw the people getting pushed up into the monsters digestive system 🤢 it triggered something in me lmao I mean I'm claustrophobic but there's something about being swallowed whole by something alive that just fucked me up
_Feel their bones crumple and all their goo spill out._ Dude, something about his voice makes that sound so satisfying, and yet I watched Nope in Universal Orlando on premiere day. I had to cover my eyes. You can feel the sounds in the theater. The vibrations.
Later, there's an episode about a ship following finn and jake that hides in a cloud, so I'm 100% convinced Jordan Peele was expired by Adventure Time.
Bro, when Jean Jacket appeared on screen and said "It's Jackin' time" the whole theater was cheering and losing their minds. 10/10 would watch again 😤👌
To be fair, the issue in outer space is external depressurization, while the balloon issue was internal pressurization. It sort of the inverted reason that deep sea divers die if the resurface too quickly.
After i saw "Nope", I watched a lot of RU-vidrs review the movie and they were all saying how unique the depiction of the alien was. All I could think was "... but it's Orgalorg..."
@@Cotac_Rastic Okay you've made your point. I still like it, because unlike some people I've seen a lot of films, & have had my fair share of bad experiences with movies, so I know which ones are bad, & which ones are good.
I love that this edit made it seem like Orgalorg’s eating comet plan was doomed from the start. Like if he was able to do it before Glob stopped him this would’ve been the same result.
