I took part in a ceremony near Puerto Maldonado, Peru. It was a very relaxed setting compared to the clip here. 1 shamen led 5 of us in a screened in patio on a riverbank in the Amazon. We were chillin on cushy pillows and blankets the whole time. We weren't planning on it at first but we reallly liked/trusted our tour guide who knew a shamen, who was also really great. One of the best experiences of my life, couldnt recommend this sort of thing enough

That first footage is of a sweatlodge, not aya ceremony. Sweatlodge is the cleansing ceremony before and after the Aya ceremony. Aya is an all night ceremony and I think it's awesome that they are doing this. I've done Aya ceremony a few times, but I still take part of sweatlodge...it has forever changed my life for the better. But that first footage is the cleansing sweatlodge before the Aya ceremony.

I guess occasional Ayahuasca-ingestion is more manly and less of a stigma than committing to ongoing therapy. I think Rodgers would benefit from weekly talk therapy as he seems to have a fair amount of unresolved issues. It wouldn't grab headlines, though-lol.

zero issues with anybody who wants to do this. gotta find the right guides though. plenty of people have been permanently damaged from these trips, some have died. also. famous, American, millionaires? better have damn good security around you and take appropriate precautions, even in Costa Rica. South and Central America is no joke when it comes to kidnappings.
