He seems really cool and down to earth. I hope some one notices this though- As a furniture store first and foremost, it doesn't make much sense that the IMAX theater, truly the best theater on the east coast, would have terribly uncomfortable chairs. There was a day when they were considered the best, with their sub-woofers and memory foam cushions, but compared to today's big comfortable recliners, they don't hold a candle. Besides, at IMAX, everyone has to share an arm rest! At a furniture store.. I do love IMAX, I just wish someone who worked there sat in for a flick or two. Another helpful tip could be- check the code for safety lighting and fire exits and do the minimum amount of brightness allowed. Currently there are bright neon blue LED strip lights lining every angle of stairs. This has a very negative effect on contrast levels, especially for previews, when they all remain on; later two bright fire exit lights glare on opposite ends of the screen throughout the film. It would greatly improve the experience to have comfortable seating- keep the sub-woofer, with leg room, and two arm rests. Fixing the bad lighting would maximize the contrast ratio for their incredible asset that is the dual laser 4k projector, one of only 3 in the country, on their amazing 80 foot screen. I really hope someone sees this and takes this into consideration. I really only mean to help improve the almost perfect experience and make it better for everyone. I already tell everyone to at least go check it out, but its hard to ignore the flaws.
Speak for yourself. I'd say both Jordans IMAX theaters have the most comfortable non-recliner theater seating in the country. Sure they're not recliners, but that's only a problem if you think every movie theater should have them. Personally, recliners make me feel like I'm in my grandmother's living room instead of a theater. Plus, I'm not sure buttkickers work as well with recliners. Dolby Cinema supposedly has buttkickers installed in their recliners, but I can't even feel them. Either Dolby has the buttkicker level turned down too low, or the plush seating dampens the effect.
@@osmo512 My main gripe isn't the lack of recliners tbh but the fact the chairs share arm rests. People shouldn't have to fight for arm space or work out a system where everyone gets the left/right side. You're right, otherwise they're not bad upright seats.
