Jorge Morel Danza Brasilera 1994 

I'm sad to say my dear friend Jorge Morel died this year. He was a great inspiration to me. I went to visit him in Queens New York. He was very generous in showing me his music. I'm devastated that he is no longer with us. I had just arranged one of his pieces and wanted to share it with him. Anyway, he was one of the great composer guitarists in the world. He studied composition with Rudy Schramm who taught a mathematical system of composition. He will be missed. R.I.P.

His sense of rythm is fabulous, the subtilty and precision of his touch. He makes it sounds so easy and natural! I'm in love!

Amazing! Nobody plays this piece quite like Maestro.

He made it seem so easy that even I am trying to learn this... still... for the past 6 months...

Tío Jorge was my Uncle. We miss him very much. We were lucky to have grown up listening to his music at family get togethers and parties.

Every single time I play this piece on my guitar I can't help myself to not "micro-dance" to the rythim of it. Inmaculate musical composition.

He’s doing a little improv here and there, that’s a great musician. I just used this version to make the edition I’m using better. Morel’s pieces always flow so easily on the fretboard. Except for that blasted c minor with the 9-8 suspension in measure 45. Lol. May his music live forever.

I’ve been on this for a year now . When I finally finish …if I finish.. 😢 I’ll probably weep uncontrollably. 🤣

Heard this on radio today. All I got was Danzia brazillia... had no idea how to write his name down once the dj pronounced his name 😂. So glad I found it phew ❤😂😂😂

This was recorded in 1994 but looks more like the 60s. Fabulous playing in any case!

This is the first time that I met in person a Mr Jorge Morel. It´s simply amazing.
