Jormungandr (Liquid Snake vs Albert Wesker) [Metal Gear vs Resident Evil] 

"IT'S NOT OVER YET, BRANDON!" If you saw my previous comment for 'Sins of the Father' you might remember that I mentioned that while I think Zeke Yeager has amazing potential as a commander opponent for Liquid, Albert Wesker is his No. 1 1v1 opponent in my eyes. So naturally I had to commission a track for that matchup too. This one will eventually have vocals down the line. Liquid Snake vs Albert Wesker (Metal Gear vs Resident Evil): Connections by shiorieternal. Not sure if they were the matchup creator or not. Born with superior genetics, these two classic series spanning terrorist antagonists were products of shady human experimentation to create an Übermensch and would take up a similar fondness of trench coats, sunglasses, and going shirtless. Deceitful by nature, they would both end up working in the US military for a time with the ulterior motive to become the squad leaders of notable special task forces (FOXHOUND and STARS) and manipulate them from within to further their own goals. Said goals would ultimately be to utilize their universes respective war changing doomsday weapons (Metal Gears and BOW's/Viruses) to effectively bring the world to its knees and create a new, and, in their minds, better one, where strength would be valued above all else amidst the ensuing chaos and bloodshed. (Liquid wanted to surpass Big Boss by rectifying his failure to create a world where soldiers like him would be valued above all else, seeking to essentially create a constant state of war. Meanwhile, Wesker would follow in the eugenics loving footsteps of Oswell E. Spencer and seek to purify the world's gene pool via spreading the Uroboros virus worldwide to serve as an extreme form of natural selection, and, eventually, after mass amounts of death, leave only the strong and genetically superior humans alive in the ashes). Their aforementioned superior genetics (Liquid having the dominant genes of Big Boss and Wesker having superior genes that were compatible with the prototype virus) have granted them access to superhuman attributes including greatly enhanced strength, speed, and durability, as well a genius level intellect which they put to good use with all of their scheming. However, genius as they may be, they are both extremely arrogant to a fault, condescending, callous, petty, and uncompromising men with a constant need to prove themselves superior to everyone around them. They both have an extreme level hate of hatred for their series first protagonist (Solid Snake and Chris Redfield). In their first appearance they both manipulated said protagonist while actually working for the other side in an iconic plot twist (Liquid famously disguising himself as Master Miller to manipulate Solid Snake, Miller, by the way, looks exactly like Wesker, and Wesker revealing himself to have been an undercover agent Umbrella to manipulate STARS).

It took me a second to get the title name, but it is so perfect when you know both characters. Jormungandr. The Norse Mythology world serpent. Snake. Complete global saturation. And that's before you get into all the bio-engeneering that made these two into what they are.

Liquid: "My genetics are superior to your crude virus. I was perfect from the start, you're merely a crude imitation of my perfection!" Wesker: "Seven minutes, seven minutes is all the time I can spare on this farce.."

Quite possibly the best for both, especially if Liquid is allowed to have the REX against Uroboros Wesker. Resident Evil and Metal Gear work incredibly well together. And you just KNOW they'd be screaming each other's names by the end of it. "LIQUIIIIIIIID!" "WESKERRRR!"

Must mention: Good thing more people notice Liquid Snake vs Albert Wesker is a superior choice over Kazuya Mishima vs Albert Wesker and frees Kazuya Mishima for Iori Yagami.

Liquid snake is back to face his next “hazardous” foe. Typing this as I’m listening and it sounds good. Don’t know how a fight between them would work or the connections though.

Why do Metal Gear and Resident Evil have great music potential?

Solid track. Wesker’s best MU as well, so props to the person who purchased it. Also a likely Wesker win.

Man I would love to see this fight. Starting as a gun fight in trench coats, going to a topless fist fight, then Liquid jumping into a Metal Gear and Wesker taking a dose of Uroboros for a final big showdown. Absolutely awesome job on the track as usual Brandon!

Resident Evil and Metal Gear is a combo that surprises me hasn't happened more often due to how well both franchises seem to mesh. That aside, I didn't expect much from the song but damn does it sound cool. The mix of intense and heavy rock/metal with tones of much more subtle, calm and almost tragic piano is greatly done. It's not at all a duality or contrast like most other songs have but instead is a great mesh of both with a fluid and natural overlap of both that sounds great. Which, from the little I know of the characters does seem to make sense given they're (again, from what I know which is barely anything) characters that originally present themselves as good guys but end up being bad guys and of course, at least in Wesker's case, also have a habit of showing themselves to be calm and collected while beating the crap out of people. So having this overlap of brutal evil and calm calculation feels perfectly fitting for the matchup in addition to sounding unique and generally appreciable. I don't have much to say on particular segments due to my ignorance of the characters but I still must put an emphasis on how good I think this dynamic is done in the song. Overall this track is one I didn't expect anything from but ended up very pleasantly surprised with due to how qualitative it is. And of course not only is it really nice to listen to but it also massively stands out due to how unique it sounds and perfectly fits (at least to the extent that I know them) the characters. Amazing work with this as always.

I cant be the only one that thinks with slight scaling adjustments Metal Gear and Resident Evil could genuinely work in the same verse together I cant be the only one that sees the potential right?

Death Battle: Resident Demons (From RoosterTeeth Series) [Muzan Kibutsuji VS Albert Wesker] (Demon Slayer VS Resident Evil)

I didn't expect to realize that Wesker and Liquid both have snake themes. Liquid Snake (obviously) and Wesker being Infected with "Ouroboros" (the snake that eats it's tail. Which is similar to the Norse myth of Jormungandr, the snake who wraps around the world and when he bites his tail will start Ragnarok.

The best Mu for both by a long shot finally gets a track, and it goes as hard as I expected

Legit a perfect matchup character wise that I want to see a DB of. Though if I were to throw my hat in the ring, I'd say that Liquid's got this, even the non super human (by the MG verse standards) have casual bullet time feats and arguable lightning timer ones which puts him comparable or above Wesker in speed. In terms of strength Liqui has a big advantage being comparable to Big Boss who can lift up the Cacoon which fell with the force of 323551 tons. Wesker could possibly infect him with any of the virus' he has on hand which could grant him the win but if we include equipment then Liquid should have Metal Gear Rex in his arsenal.

While I have always pushed for Wesker vs Kazuya, I alwaus thought this was a good (and much more fair) alt i'd be down for. The OST is quite sick, and it smells like its going to have vocals (it'd be great).

Interesting. My preferred matchup for Wesker was Muzan from Demon Slayer, but Liquid works too (and I'm glad he's getting another matchup). Took me a second to realize amidst the uroboros tentacles was Liquid's arm giving his iconic pose-that's a nice touch. I'd also say that it's the pose Liquid would make after winning. He can match Wesker blow for blow, but Rex is simply beyond anything Wesker can put up, even with uroboros. He could infect him to notch a win, but I'd say that'd be a slim possibility, especially since Liquid might just be able to power through an infection long enough to win.
