This makes me convinced that music is the strongest sense tied to memory, not smell.

This is an amazing soundtrack to my secular christmas in lockdown in 2020. I'm alone in my apartment but I'm doing fine cooking and staying in touch with others digitally. José Gonzales's music has something deeply contemplative about it (especially with all the gorgeous added instrumentation). It made me appreciate where I'm at while also thinking of the many others who are worse off right now. I literally have tears streaming down my face right now and that's alright.

This was fantastic. I’ve been a fan of his for years and had the pleasure of seeing him live twice. The first time was a tiny venue called the Parish in New Orleans and it was MAGIC✨ Second time in Baton Rouge with Junip. Also, quite good. I love this sound too, wish they would play “Hints”. That’s my all time favorite song of his.

This video was released the day my father would have turned 60. I wish he could have seen it.

This is beautiful music. I guess that's obvious. To hear it on the radio, I would stop it there and totally give it both my ears and my minds eye to the story of the song. *Watching* them perform, and other artists too, just adds so much more to the experience of listening. To see the actual human beings doing and enjoying or intently focusing on their respective contribution to the collaboration is really quite an enjoyable experience. But... I can't get any work done! I keep telling myself, "Ok. THIS time I'm just gonna let it play in the background while I work." I always get sucked back into watching. Its just fascinating watching people perform, sharing a display of their talents.

Makes me think of Cat stevens a tiny bit (not just his looks, but the emotive ability and tenderness), the music is exquisite, the entire group, wow! What a lovely voice Jose holds.

Love Jose Gonzales used to have crosses and heartbeats on my sleeping playlist and would always queue crosses first it was like life or death that I heard the song before bedtime
