Thanks for watching my interview with The Special One. Yes, it's an old interview- but it was originally just for people with access to a zoom link. But, after the recent success of my AJ interviews, i thought maybe there might be some football fans following me, that might enjoy seeing some insightful takes from Jose. In all honest, even as an Arsenal fan, this was one of the highlights of my career. Jose was full of knowledge and really has that special aura- and i've interviewed a lot of sports stars before. With that said, if you want more of these please comment and like. If no one is interested, then I won't waste your time or mine. Have a nice day
@@ayoNan2311 I hate to say it, as a Mourinho fan... but his golden age might be well over now... let's hope that he can turn around Fener, win at least the Europa League and such, and hope that Fener gives him proper support, otherwise he is truthfully "finished"...
Absolutely made him double take and left him startled for at least a minute after that hair joke though 😂. That comment was absolutely left field, rest was class.. keeping the special one on his toes I guess 😅
More like "was a legend".. He's washed up.. Hasn't won anything worth nothing in the past.. 5 years or something? Destroyed by pep's barca in spain.. with a billion dollars squad in Real madrid. Came to england, splashed huge amount of money.. destroyed by Pep's City in england. Ran all over europe, without success.. trying to retain some sort of relevance in tv nowadays. No big club would even consider him.. big ego and auto self-destruct after 3 years..
@@rianadhitana9508 Agreed. He is a legend but didn't innovate in the game. All tactics get destroyed after 10 years. Even Pep's tiki taka. In the return game vs Man Utd he was very lucky, Scholes 2nd goal wasn’t offside. If United were 2 up they are not losing the tie and probably will not concede last minute.
@@AntoineSpeaks I agree. My point is the following: a person speaking English as a second or third language on a high level leads to simple but advanced, or as I put it first "clear and concise", explanations.
It was filmed during covid. So it was original only for people on the private zoom call. But, I managed to find the original video and upload for people that like Jose and like my interviews. I've done plenty of long interviews that are only for the people with the zoom link. But, this one was 'special' so I thought it was worth sharing- and is timeless as he talking about a game from his own past
100k views! THANK YOU EVERYONE. I really hoped people would like this interview, because one Jose is a legend, but two I want to make this into a series. So I am currently messaging TV channels to see if anyone is interested. Which games would you love to hear a manager or player's perspective of? Please comment below
@@AntoineSpeaks It would be nice to hear him say what he would have done differently at Waterloo to win. Early Mourinho is reminiscent of early Napoleon, later Mourinho of later Napoleon. Top level football management is the closest thing today to commanding armies in earlier centuries.
The man who made Real Madrid what it is today. The best again. Without this man we don't have 6/10 champions leagues. Zidane was good but not a great manager. Ancelotti is great and helped make Vinicius the player we all knew he could become.
@@AntoineSpeaks Imo he was a good motivator than he was a tactician. He made Madrid play like Barca the second time he came back to the club; Benzema played out left with zero emphasis on having a 9 inside the box. Vinicius didnt improve under him and only minimized him. He was hellbent on playing Isco who was overweight at the time. Solari imo did more than Zidane from a tactical perspective; Valverde, Vini, Reguilon, Ceballos all played well under him.
Fascinating mind. I don't care what anyone says, Jose to me remains the best coach in the world. Who else can reach two european finals in a row with Roma?
United were hardly at their best in 03/04. Lost 9 matches in the league, finished 3rd (for only the second time in the PL) and were in transition after the departure of Beckham and Ferdinand’s drugs ban. Still fair credit to Porto for advancing but context shouldn’t be ignored.
@@MoLtenMetaL7 So the ref made a bad decision and you're still mad about it 20 years later? I don't even care about Porto but you must get over it son.
He is a legend but didn't innovate in the game. All tactics get destroyed after 10 years. Even Pep's tiki taka. His low block football get countered but he still stuck with it. Mourinho's attitude nowadays is more humble, his ego has dropped significantly. Today’s game is a lot more dynamic with teams changing tactics every 10 mins, high pressing, counter press, low block counter attack, possession and tiki taka. Mourinho like all coaches in top teams fall after losing repeatedly with an expensive squad and it started in 2013 Madrid.
Let's be honest, if it was VAR Man Utd would have gone through Scholes disallowed goal was never an offside, and if it came as 2-0, Porto would have never recovered
@@AntoineSpeaks Keano getting sent off was what killed United. He even admitted on the Overlap recently when they went through his red cards that what he did was stupid and he just did a stupid thing in the moment. So he knew himself it was deserved. Without him in the second match you are missing that beating heart of the team that won't let standards drop.
@@davidlean1060 That's just football for you. In their 2022 CL semi tie, if Walker had seen out the full 90 minutes against Madrid, City would have gone through to the final. He was not able to continue, Camavinga exploits that side and then Madrid attack from the flanks to secure a draw and then go on to win.
That's football... sometimes you get the rub of the green. But, the game is also 90 minutes, for Porto to even be close against United was a big achievement considering the respective sizes of the clubs
@@AntoineSpeaks Absolutely but I think it’s a bit disingenuous when people say it was a ‘José masterclass’ cause if the officials got the calls right, they was out & no one would ever remember that porto team. Not trying to take away the achievement of winning the CL but at the end of the day, if the officials got it right, no one would be mentioning their mentality or tactical genius. Gotta see both sides
Where are you from mr ? You post dumb comment and you keep defending it 😂😂😂 , do you realised how many wrong officiating that has deny Jose of winning matches orTrophies ? Also during Porto/ Man United match you think Porto were just asleep for 90 minutes without playing football , you must be crazy honestly , your comment is the most ridiculous I have ever read of recent , you do really need brain test .
@@seank135Jose has also had his fair share of unlucky ref calls. E.g. If the ref had got the call right, then Liverpool should not have gotten to the 2004/2005. Luis Garcia's goal was never a goal and somehow UEFA allowed the "ghost" goal to stand.
@@JDede Don’t get me wrong. I’m not having a go at Jose. I love Jose. I’m just talking about this match in particular. It was no masterclass. He was extremely lucky.
Cry me a river. You can also talk about how Liverpool got into the 2005 final with a "ghost goal" that never crossed the line. Every Tom, Dick and Harry always have their snide remarks when it comes to Jose Mourinho.
But for a really dodgy disallowed goal from Paul Scholes and a head scratching calamitous error from Goalkeeper Tim Howard where he inexplicably parries a late free kick at goal back into open play, They never win that game and who knows? The special one may not have become quite so 'special'
Mourinho’s only tactic was to ask for unlimited budgets to buy his way to silverware. As soon as he stopped getting unlimited budgets, the silverware stopped.
Ok I got this as recommended video, and I want to take this chance to say thanks god that Laporta ditched this clown and sign pep.. and that hurts him so hard.
@@AntoineSpeaks If you followed football for only one week, you'd know games are won with small details, but you didn't, and that's fine, just don't talk about football anymore to save yourself and others unnecessary embarrassments.
