Apart from Lindor and maybe Vientos, this guy is the unsung hero of the 2024 Mets (position player wise). Great clubhouse presence, has, with Lindor, formed one half of the best up the middle tandems that we've had since Ordonez and Alfonzo, he's hitting, hitting in big spots, hustling. Just today (9/11) he reached on an infield hit and got to second on a throwing error, setting us up to go ahead in a big game. You just can't understate what he has meant to this Mets team and as much of a Lindor stan as I am, I also don't think we are in the position to claim a wild card spot without Jose.
Every single play this guy gives max effort. Been watching all season, he really brought life into this team. We're a pretty rag tag roster all things considered, and this wasn't really supposed to be the year for us to compete. He came in as an underpaid vet with something to prove, balled out, and I think it made something click with the other guys. He plays with a joy and passion that really puts a smile on your face as a fan. So glad he's a Met.
I really don’t think people give this dude enough credit. He’s easily my favorite player on the Mets right now and he makes contact all the time and is great with risp. He’s been such a big part of the team which not that many people talk about
I had no idea Peter Moylan was doing a podcast. Can’t wait to listen to this one Jose has been huge for us this year and in my opinion one of the main reasons for the turnaround.
i've always respected iggy from afar for years, but i never knew his whole backstory. this episode was so inspirational. it put a big smile on my face💙
Hey Eric.. you are right. As a die hard Mets fan.. I think the fans have been incredibly hard on Lindor. I also wished u were a met! I remember 2015😢.. jose much success to u and my guys!! Great interview fellas
I've always enjoy Jose as a player. His glove, and hitting is and has been a huge plus to the Mets system. I predict he will have the big hit that will take the Mets to the playoffs.
First time watching this podcast. I have subscribed it not only very informative it's a great interview. The guys speaking about the mental part of it was great.
Never heard of this pod nor do I know what the concept is supposed to be but Hosmer seemed to just wanna talk about Iglesias’ story whilst Moylan and the other guy seemed to want to “dig deep” and have Iglesias speak more about his emotions and feelings. Made it seem a little disjuncted bc Iglesias wasn’t really biting at their emotional talk. Maybe it’s just the editing though.
