Heh thanks for the shout out. As our stock is mostly alternated on the railway i like to keep them boxed. Some of our older models Mainline are going to be put in our Mainline shop display cabinet. One problem with the newer as you said they are a pain to open and yes the plastic content is daft and another reason to keep the boxes! Good tip with the metal ruler. All the best Rick
@@PaulsRailwayModels-vz9oz it’s like my father in law always says ‘I only look stupid’. I was just sick of always bending a pristine box to look inside and or destroying the box altogether especially in the highly unlikely event, this could be a product that I’m planning on reselling and if I was buying it secondhand, I want it to still have its original packaging in the best possible condition. Thanks for the kind words and the support.
Good method with the metal ruler. I do wonder about the packaging during transport, I have seen metal draws with soft foam inserts used for transporting models to shows and exhibitions alike;, but nothing beats that authentic feeling of opening the genuine box before using a quality product. Anyway, Josef; I cannot help notice you seem to have a disaster in every episode; only for comic relief I trust.
@@johnebuckland thanks for the kind comments regarding the loose word disaster I prefer to think of it in a story I heard years ago told by one of the greatest storytellers the character from dad‘s army, telling the story about someone being cursed hard not to have a giggle and reflect on a moment like that but then again, where would the content be what I really need to do is maybe do a video of some of these old-time epic bloopers maybe title it something like ‘ when ***** hits the fan’ Or Brown Trousers time. Who knows. If only you could imagine 1/10 of some of the challenges I go through that aren’t even remotely captured in any of my videos. It’s almost like a warm, friendly invitation to my life.
