У меня был один фото друг,помер уже, с Луганской обл.г.Ровеньки, так он служил в Чехословакии,и каже, Миша, там природа как и архитектура, просится сама в объектив,/ а Я думаю и не могу представить до чего же ж там красиво..../

Why Chopin, a polish composer who died in 1849, for Sudek, a czech photographer of the XXth century? You could beter use Janacék, whom house Sudek even photographed and was near contemporary, and whose art is much more akin to Sudek!
It’s to difficult for the modern camera to produce this kind of quality of images these days! To much contrast and sharpness and there’s no second Josef Sudek anymore on this planet‼️
Josef was no common persona for a start. His photographic equipment was also flawed with lots of imperfections, the works of craftsmen back in the days. Our generation only sees machines doing the job for us, which takes away a lot of personal footprint in the making. But these are just a few elements which explain why, because the times of Josef were also very particular, very raw in form in many places, few cars, few billboards, fewer people, so imagination was at its best at the time, people were easily bored, they didnt have as many distractions as we have today, photography had just seen its technological breakthrough, as it was for the rest in the early 1900s.. so all these contributed to the photography Josef used to make. But overall, its just Sudek himself, being a master craftsman with his prints, always shooting odd things, always exposing just right, knowing everything about photography, even to the point where he was able to judge the light just by looking at it, without a light meter. The guy was God sent, appointed by destiny to become the best photographer of all time, driven all his life long, to produce the most amazing body of work any photographer could dream of. To this day, 2021, nobody has reached his ankle, not even the late Ansel Adams, or Michael Kenna. Sudek photographed every possible subject matter there is, and in the best way possible. From portraits, to commercial photography, gardens, mountains, trees, countryside, architecture, city, interiors, still lives, reproductions, design…. it never ends God took his right arm off, only to give him this gift for seeing through chaos, because his life was very chaotic, even to the places where he lived. Of course, as the greatest he was, he is not recognized as such, but only those who went down the rabbit hole of photography will get to know his work and personal life. And even those who know his name do not all see how masterful his photographs are, so suggestive, soft, tempered, full of emotions, details and attention. He is missed, that’s for sure… his photography was pure, true to the world, true to his time and to himself. Its like this, there is always that someone who tops everything and passes away, that nobody else can replace. He was the greatest, and still is to this day
