The problem is that historically, the men in the Black community define who is in and out. So they are quick to claim mixed and ambiguous women as Black when they have the chance in order to justify their preference/attraction. However, when a man is mixed they only claim them when it’s convenient and even then, much less so. I really can’t believe the Black community positioned her as a Black woman this whole time😭

This isn’t about her being biracial. It’s offensive to pull an all lives matter at an HBCU in a class about racism and lynchings. Amber constantly injected her whiteness into this class. That’s why Jocelyn said what she said about Amber wanting to be white. By her own admission, her family doesn’t like African Americans and and they feel superior to black people. In this class, she said she doesn’t fit into black spaces. Also offensive when your entire career has been a money grab from black culture. Example: Kim Kardashian is not biracial or black. However, Imagine her saying she’s never fit into black spaces while completely profiting from black culture by her proximity to blackness from her romantic partners. It’s the same thing. So it’s not about Amber being biracial because Kim k is white and the sentiment would be the same. It’s just more offensive because Amber rose is part black n she’s actually saying these things.
