Joseph was so funny and handsome in part 2, gosh. He fought and defeated demi(?)gods, he was strong and amazing all-around. Seeing him in part 4 was heartbreaking at first because he was just a frail old man walking with a cane, he hardly knew what was going on most of the time. In a way it was sad to see him like that.. but at the same time, I was happy for him. He grew old with the woman he loved and they had a family. None of his ancestors could experience that. He had his wife, a daughter, and he could even see his grandson grow up (and I like to think he lived long enough to see Jolyne too
thank you!! :'D and yes, my thoughts exactly :o) ! I'm so glad he showed up in so many parts.. A GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING... and I believe araki has said that he's still alive during stone ocean!! :D
lizikeee oh they were more than Demi gods, they were pretty much gods at their point of power and Kars, Kara was just ultimate power, it's actually impossible to kill him
Well, historically speaking, chances are Jesus didn't look anything like the way we usually depict him, so Caesar looking so heavenly is probably not a thing like Jesus. Then again, Jojo Jesus doesn't look too different to Caesar, specially in the current artstyle.
With all the due respect, the thing that DOESN'T look heavenly is the way y'all spell "Caesar". (Forgive me for that, Latin had a bad impact on my life)
The first time it says "to save you from your old ways" where Josuke catches Joseph is just another perfectly times lyric that adds a whole 'nother meaning to Joseph.
Joseph honestly feels like (one of) the best Jojo(s), (in my heart) because of how long he lasted, and how much plot he was involved in. He was emotional, foolish and overwhelmingly funny. This AMV is a huge favourite.
It would be funny if Jolyne had to talk about an ancestor of hers at grade school, and ended up picking Joseph... Talking about how he took on multiple Aztec Gods and eventually a time-stopping vampire... *ends up with an F for supposedly making up fantasy*
Exactly! And Caesar and Kakyoin! Both men were too young to die, but went out doing everything they could to help finish the fight! Both are tragic characters and I love them so much!
I don't Care for the opinion of everyone, Joseph Joestar show me one way to live, he open my eyes and make me strong. He ever will be my favorite JoJo. Thanks Hirohiko Araki, for give me one inspiration.
You made a parallel in this video that I never realized, but when Polnareff tried to run off to fight DIO he probably thought of how he let Caesar go and it's what got him killed. Thinking of that he sent their strongest stand user Jotaro to accompany him. Damn you got me in the feels. And yeah I know one of the hamon masters went with Caesar but Joseph probably still felt some guilt in that.
He is my favourite JoJo by far, and possibly my favourite character even. He is just, the most amazing character I've seen. The feelings I have toward him are honestly stronger than the feelings I have for many people in my life (I know, not healthy or sane) He's the only Joestar who lived a full life, really, and he got to see so much of life, and he went through a lot of heartache, yet he still manages to be such a kind, rowdy, funny person. He's just, a piece of pure sunshine, I love him man, he deserved the long life he lived with Suzi and his relatives, he really did.
I hate you so much. This amv is so well done and now I want to cry because of it. Joeseph has been so much and now he's this frail old man, and he's reminiscing on all his past experiences and old friends.. alive and dead. Joeseph is best jojo.
Joseph went through so much. He lost his father, he didn’t know his mother growing up, he lost his best friend, his daughter was in danger of dying, Avdol and Kakyoin died after he tried to protect them, he died and was brought back, he never got to know his son when he was young, and then he became senile.
I disagree I think that Blue Death's Oh No AMV is better, and this is the second best AMV. (Third best is Singular Strike Gentleman). I do think that there are not really any non-Jojo AMVs besides singular strike gentleman that even get close to the amount of symbolism used in Blue Death's AMVs.
(this is so well made for real though you did an amazing job. josephs my favourite character and its just so lovely seeing such a good homage to him, pAINFUL as it is)
I come back here every now and then, and I watch this 4-5 times in a row, seeing new details, getting that feeling of nostalgia. Truly my favourite jojo amv out there. It never fails to make me feel something
“But more than you’ll ever know...” Video ends . . . *sob* That line hit hard because people in part 4 don’t know how amazing he is. I feel that way with Jotaro too sometimes. Like that one tome when Koichi was questioning his battle experience rubbed me the wrong way
I appreciate everyone who takes a moment to think about all the things Joseph has had to endure during his life. He's been a true hero indeed. To the person who put this together, I wanna say thank you so much. You made me very emotional with this. Until today I was still trying to choose my favourite Jojo between Giorno and Joseph, but this video made it very clear. Cheers, Mr. Joestar.
i keep coming back to this video and rewatching it, over, and over again. it still makes me cry every single time. it’s so beautiful, and it tells such a tragic story. whenever i hear this song, i think of this video, and i genuinely choke up everytime.
I certainly didn't expect a Joseph AMV to bring this many feelings... The editing is phenomenal! At no point did it really feel like it was dragging, and the lyrics matched beautifully. The parallels between Cesar and Polnareff/Kakyoin left me stunned and were executed extremely well, too...
Joesph by far goes through the most heartache of all the Joestars. He lost his best friend ,his mother, Uncle during/post part 2 and 3 of his friends during part 3 yet still manages to be the joesph joestar we love through it all
Coming back to this still makes me emotional, probably the greatest JoJo AMV on RU-vid. Going back in time on Joseph's life truly shines a light on the cycle of strife and trauma he's had to endure with the sacrifices of those closest to him, despite his lighthearted and tough exterior. His willingness to give his life for his son and grandson speaks volumes after Caesar and Kakyoin sacrificed themselves on his watch. Joseph went through a lot, and he's confirmed to still be alive during Stone Ocean as the the longest living Joestar. I wouldn't be able to imagine how he'd react upon learning of the deaths of his grandson and great granddaughter.
I put this in my favorites but have been avoiding rewatching it for a long time. It's still really hard to get over emotionally, for example the beginning where the beautiful boy saving Joseph from his old ways is his own son... that turned out extremely wholesome and I could not be more grateful. And then every flashback with the crusaders and the perfect musical lineup to the events with Caesar, that's some wonderful editing right there. Like that miniscule moment with the ring shown in both their hands, just an example but I live and breathe for that. And then of course I kind of die from crying when the beautiful boy parallel reoccurs with his old friend :')))) I think this video... does look a thing like Jesus.
i keep coming back to this video and rewatching it. it still makes me cry every single time. it’s so beautiful, and it tells such a tragic story. whenever i hear this song i think of this, and i genuinely choke up everytime.
Joseph went through so much pain...so much happiness...simply so much People often ask me why do i love JoJo so much, this, this is the reason Watching Joseph growing up was sad yet something i simply adore, it gives a feeling that he wasn't simply a character, he wasn't simply some hero of some story, he was a person, with feelings and goals. Thank you so much Hirihiko Araki, and thank you so much Mr. Blue Death, for creating something so beautiful.
okay i just gotta say, i started watching jojo about two months ago with my sister who'd only watched part 5 but knew all the spoilers and such. as i finished the parts she showed me this video, but started a little further back for every time we finished a part so i could see the spoilery bits (i.e. 1:49 after finishing battle tendency, 0:44 after stardust crusaders, from the beginning after part 4). i finally got to see the whole thing today. i have endless appreciate for all the cinematography, with the timing to the melody along with the beats, all the parallels between caesar/polnareff/kakyoin/josuke, and especially the lipsync of "SHIZAAAA" to "jesus" in that one last part, yadda yadda. this is the most well constructed AMV i have seen in all my years of watching AMVs, which is a seriously long time; since 2013 at least. i can't stop coming back to it, and it legitimately made me cry from a mix of happiness, sadness, and some sort of bittersweet nostalgia for joseph's past which is weird because i just discovered this series recently? anyways, i've been going on for too long. you did amazing on this. thank you so much for making it. :)
OMG!! I love this lore :'D GLAD TO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THIS WONDERFUL STORY AND GOOD SIBLING MEMORIES!! may you guys have even more good anime viewing times together >:^)
I love this so much- the song, the fixed relationship between Joseph and josuke.. the crusaders, ceaser and the pillwr men. What a perfect song for it too. Brings back happy memories... This is just perfect ❤️ reminds me that araki never made Joseph die becuase he couldn't bare too.. what an amazing vid ❤️
Same soul but the memories aren't the same. They are alive but everyone's life is different than before. Empiro is the only one from the original universe.Correct if I am wrong. The Stone Ocean ending has left me salty. Jotaro is actually involved in raising his daughter, originally he wasn't because of what happened in Egypt with Dio and protecting her from Dio's minions even if mentioned that he had to divorce his wife and stay away from his daughter. Hermes ( did I spell her name right ?), Weather report and anasui didn't go to prison. Jolyne for once actually has a relationship with her dad, it's bitter sweet but pucci in sense gave the characters a chance in life.
One, excellent editting. Two, I didn't think I'd cry a little over that song of all songs. Three, now I'm not gonna stop seeing parallels between Caesar and Josuke. Edit: Forgot the all-important four, fed the algorithm.
This Video Reminds me that Joesph went through Alot his whole life. Poor Joesph. Been Though Deaths, Battles To the Death, and Being The Joestar That Lived The Longest.
It's great! Watching this video, I think I understood why Joseph did not practice hamon and decided to grow old. I think deep down he wanted to meet his dead friends as soon as possible.
Oh, my God! This was truly beautiful. Thanks for the experience of a lifetime. Bringing back three arcs of sadness in one video. Joseph is the best in my eyes.
Wtf i'm crying so loud I CAN'T STOP, REALLY; I'M SO EMOTIONALLY BROKEN RIGHT NOW, OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH JOSEPH JOESTAR, omg he's my fav jojo and that will never change
I know this video with one of the songs I love the most from The Killers, practically since you posted it. And I'm grateful for that, today, November 16, 2021, I'm seeing it again, and I'm always moved. Joseph Joestar is my perennial favorite character in this work, and you've done the two things I love the most in one.
I keep coming back to watch this video and it sends shivers down my spine every single time, thank you so much for making it :) Joseph Joestar is my favorite character of all time.
I like to think that for all the tragedy, hardship, and drama in his life, when Joseph's lights were going out for real, he didn't regret his life in the slightest.
Ah. I see. Me me big sad. Beautiful work, incredible interweaving of all the parts and mirroring things between them (most obvious being Caesar and Kakyoin sacrificing themselves for Joseph) you are incredibly talented. Thank you for sharing this with us all!!
Best jojo, he deserved to live in part 7, despite the universe reset. He is definitely underrated, and is by far the funniest anime character I've ever known. We love you, Joseph!
