Welp its nice to keep the hype in one episode since its from the part before that. As much as I like part 2 and 3 i think it was best if they didnt over-do it
it's weird logic. araki has gone on record that Joseph technically had hermit purple as a stand for a while he just hadn't known. to make example of him using hermit purples' ability of being a hamon conducting vine type stand that also grants divination over knowledge; practicing basic hamon without higher training, or could predict what people would say, and how he knew to grab the red stone of Aja from Kars after he became "ultimate" and later using it to reflect Kars' hamon back at him out of what seemed to be luck. I think young Joseph could have fought and possibly defeated Dio somehow if Dio awakened back before part 3. But I think there might be a difference where Dio would only have Jonathan's "hermit purple II". to me Dio went through a stage of change when he started gaining control of Jonathan's body that led to him also gaining the world. but it would make sense that since Dio had technical control over Jonathan's body that he could maybe have control over his body's stand since that's the logic used to why he can use the stand at all, that he's controlling Jonathan. this is all supported by the fact that Dio doesn't even have full control over Jonathan's body even up until he drinks Joseph's blood. and even at that stage his left side of his body is still weaker than the right side. My thought is that Dio would awaken with control some of Jonathan's body when Erina is saved, maybe he was just sleeping after attaching himself to Jonathan so he could heal and let the transformation of his hamon body into a vampiric one take place. Dio would slip away unnoticed but keep a close eye on erina, joseph joestar, and possibly straits since he was there when Dio was defeated the first time. Dio would likely know of or witness most of the events of part 2 from a far, maybe even pulling a bit of the strings along the way (araki would use him to solve other plot holes lel). After Kars is defeated I don't believe Dio would think Joseph died as he would have been keeping an eye on Erina, at his own funeral Dio would recognize him. I think at this point or a bit after this is likely when the both of them would have their hermit purple type abilities and when their conflict would take place. likely springing from Dio attacking Joseph or his family first, maybe being that Dio would have had more reason to attack first. What would make their story so interesting is that Joseph is a lot more family oriented than jotaro was, and it also shows in how Joseph is also closer in the family tree to Jonathan than jotaro is. my headcanon is that since Dio isnt a hamon user that part of hermit purple's skillset wouldn't be known. he would have more interest in the vines as a fighting style since forming with Jonathan's body made him lose a lot of his vampiric abilities, and he would have more use of gathering information with hermit purple than Joseph ever does. Dio is manipulative and clever and we'd see a lot of that through how he confronts Joseph. As their conflict progresses and grows Dio would probably get overzealous, and push Joseph into a corner where Joseph would have no escape and no way to counter Dio. The vines of hermit purple would maybe remind Joseph of his clackers and some hermit purple type epiffany would awaken his stand, maybe would awaken through emotional trauma through Dio killing either erina (replacing her existing canon death) or suzy or just by Joseph thinking about Jonathan, George joestar II, Caesar, or erina (if this is post her canon death). Joseph would have a similar awakening of stands as koichi since this is a helpless situation for him, and a similar dawning of power that jotaro has against Dio. it would eventually go something like "I know what you're going to say next...." "so it's the same type of stand as hermit purple!!" then Dio would go "n-nani!" and Joseph would probably "defeat" Dio. How I think this part would go down is that throughout their story together Dio was also changed by Joseph's sharp wit and grasp for combat. He would have gained the world unknowingly, and it wouldn't be powerful enough to manifest really. Joseph would be so close to defeating Dio that he could almost taste it but either right before or as he is about to destroy Dio's head with hamon / hermit purple; Dio would use Timestop to survive the encounter. I think it would happen in a way that leaves Joseph very confused for the first time in a long time. He would want to think Dio was defeated at first but I think something about Dio having Jonathan's body or about Joseph having hermit purple would leave Joseph without a doubt that Dio somehow escaped without a trace. This would terrify Joseph and he would likely after this confrontation become a literal hermit, trying to hide himself and the rest of the existing joestar bloodline from the tyranny of DIO. this part 2.5 would end with a teaser of jotaro being born. if you read this far tell me what you think of this concept and give me any ideas you maybe have too!!!
@@Dropdeaddonuts no joseph would have no time to think against dio whereas against kars he could actually think and damage him and dio knows counters to hamon already and joseph cant act in stopped time leading to joseph getting fisted
@@FoxInSocks_ when Joseph versed the other 2 pillar men it wasn't luck it was his knowledge but with Kars pre transformation Joseph won due to quick thinking and wits and after transformation Kars got lucky he didn't burn alive don't you everything Kars could be out there waiting to crash into earth but overall Joseph is usually victorious cuz of his quick thinking
Well, of course, Survivor from Part 6 is the weakest, but what he meant was Hermit Purple was the weakest among the Crusaders. But he underestimated Joseph and that, was Dio's Demise.
@@suckerman7gm Weak under certain circumstances. He did not, however, consider that Hermit Purple is the same stand as the one he had. Nigerundayo, DIO. Atleast, while you still can.
It was the weakest stand in general , but it was the best stand to counter dio. He had a very high chance to kill dio but unfortunately dio noticed that he suffed his body with hamon.
When i just started watching jojo i thought -This was the actual ending -Joseph was the older Jonathan -Jotaro was Jonathans son who was a world war one soldier -The Worlds Power was to time travel, and thats why everyone was in 1980
-I didn't DIU existed -i thought il Vento Aureo was the third season -i thought Dio time traveled them to the 80's and hit Jotaro with a steam roller. -I thought Jotato was from the late 1800's.
@@al_2331 i always thought that it would be cool if Joseph taught the Stardust Crusaders a little bit Iike polanarff could Channel it through the tip of his sword jotaro could Infuse his knuckles with hamon stuff like that
Imagine Old Joseph grabbing Dio with Hermit Purple and screamin *Sunlight Yellow OVERDRIVE* and his old theme from part 2 it's start to sound....that would be beautifull
@@Oxygen73 If you think about it jotaro and jonathan have a lot in common such as: Courage, Kindness, Justice, Maturity, Strength and Charisma so I am not surprised that the World and Star Platinum are so much alike
But if you really think about the world was Jonathan’s stand because DIO stole Jonathan’s body so basically it is Jonathan’s stand. The thing is Jonathan didn’t know how to use it or to pull it out
I will always say Purple Hermit had so much potential as a stand. Just imagine Joseph using it like Doc Ock, he could have it coming out if his back as well, extra limbs to fight with
@@KrochChopz maybe Kakyoin doesn't want more innocent bystanders unnecessary got hurt from it, including the driver who was forced to drive and people who are hurt from the accident after he punctured the car
I do like how joseph kinda foreshadows himself losing to dio. When he encountered kars he said someone like him (calculating, focused, unaffected by josephs taunts) are his worse enemy.
Joseph's years of fighting and his instincts really pulled through one he realized Dios ability was to stop time. Smart man tbh. How he defeated gods like Kars. I knew this was the real ending.
@@csanxeek6136 using his own blood actually because dio only just had powered up using his blood meaning it’s not dispersed and if it was dios blood he would’ve killed himself do the the vampire cells being expelled
@@wasteoftime41 Dio vs Jotaro is all visual. The second you start thinking about it, it completely falls apart. Dio had a thousand ways to kill Jotaro with a ten-second Time Stop, especially after landing multiple strong kicks on Jotaro just prior, but instead chose to waste six or seven seconds fetching a large vehicle and one or two posing after presumed victory. But no, one kick to the leg incapacitates a hundred year old vampire with regenerative abilities while a fifteen year old teenager can no-sell multiple knife wounds and several direct kicks from The World, a stand as strong as Star Platinum which can punch through materials harder than diamond. That makes perfect sense.
That would shake the running tradition of replacing the main jojo protagonist with each part, since Joseph having abilities which are in line with his part 2 self would have made him compete with Jotaro and maybe overshadow him partially, even though he was supposed to be a secondary character. So he was deliberately made weaker while being kept alive for the fans not to be upset, but not to cling on to him too much. Jotaro himself became this example in part 4 (his timestop ability, though manifested only at the end of part 3, was weakened from its first appearance, and proved to be much less effective than what Dio had set previously.) He has also become less aggressive than he was in part 3 due to age, dimming his character a bit, though staying respected. So in the end Araki decided to just give him less screen time.
The thing is this ending might’ve been possible. Since DIO was connected to Jotaro, Holly, and Joseph, it’s entirely possible that Holly and Joseph inherited time stop too.
Nop. Time stop is a Dio only thing. The World is DIO's Stand, so it has no relation with them. Jonathan's Stand was actually similar to Hermit Purple in both appearance and abilities.
Part 2 Joseph was OP. Pretty sure he could solo almost everyone regardless of stands. They basically had to nerf him plus Jotaro beating Dio itself was an asspull so I'd rather have the Nigurendayo legend beat Dio.
@@teznarayanan Young Joseph would humiliate DIO but still, I don't really see why Jotaro defeating DIO eas an asspull but you don't point Out Josepg defeating Kars:)
@@conuniqmayoralpromedio6397 Joseph beating Kars was explained as luck. Its the same stand as star platinum is an asspull. Plus no prior feats and he just starts learning the technique in the final arc.
"Joseph Kills DIO (Better ending)?" yes I think it gives a good moment for Joseph since for all stardust crusaders he basically didn't done anything important except for making people laugh.
@@Xoruna Not only that, but Joseph also got rid of a few stand users DIO sent to eliminate them, and he delivered the message to Jotaro that The World can stop time.
now, imagine this is a timeline where every Joestar has a the world ability and DIO has it because of Jonathan's body. and then Diavolo dies in part five of it so, it's a canon timeline!
There could be a timeline where Speedwagon is the main character, and as long as Diavolo dies at some point along the way, it's technically a canon timeline
imagine if alessi became a friend and took Joseph to his prime! (Also I think he would have Hermit P. because Dio is still alive and he was the reason of joestars developing stands)
Hermit purple conducts Hamon and it hits Dio's stand, so yeah he is the clear winner in this fight but of course Araki doesn't want that so he added this overpowered time stop ability that makes anyone except Jotoro capable of winning.
@@whoisheiforgothisname2103 it'll still injure dio a lot tho yeah he's a vampire but if that hamon travels through the body then it would still hinder dio and would still hurt like hell meaning if joseph actually went in and did an overdrive before dio stops time then that ending would've been very different
To be perfectly honest, saving something like time stop until the perfect moment, keeping it a secret from absolutely everyone... That sounds like something Joseph would do. He's a sly old fox, that one.
Plot twist : joseph was going to use the world in part 3 but died too early and later didn't reveal the truth of his stand to jotaro and the audience so we don't think kakyoin's death was useless
Remember, aside from jotaro for obvious reasons, Joseph was the closest to killing DIO, as he got to wrap him with HP. The only thing was he was too slow to conduct hamon with his stand, and dio escaped. If he kept training, or at least practicing, Hamon it would have ended there and then.
