He's so nice, man. It's a real shame he's not used to this level of attention and I truly hope Stranger Things has elevated his career to new heights. A whole generation of people fell in love with not only Eddie Munson but the actor himself, all credit to him for that. Best of luck, Mr Quinn sir.
Omg at 5:38 that’s me and my family I can’t believe it this was one of the best moments of my life he was extremely nice to my little sister and use he is such a good person xx
I was actually someone who got a photo with him so here’s my view on it :) Tbh I had everything I wanted to say planned out until I got up there and I froze lol I spoke at the start but after the photo I was feeling every emotion on the table. The staff were very bossy, but it was way busier than it looks there I felt that i was holding up the line a bit so I kinda moved at a pace at the end and I felt really bad because I didn’t get to say goodbye :( But Joseph was really nice and friendly towards the fans for the 5 seconds he had to meet them The photos turned out great and the rest of the event was amazing!
he’s about 5’10 and in comic con it mainly just smelt vaguely like sweat cause it was fucking boiling so i didn’t notice what he smelled like (also i don’t really pay attention to that sort of thing lol)
I think every single one of us knows that if Joseph wasn’t rushed he would have probably spoken to his fans and connect with them. I think he deserves to know and should be told a thousand different times by a thousand different people how important he is to them
As an introvert, this makes me cringe. Having so many people touching him and then the hustle and bustle around them... I hope he handles his new fame well, he seems like a sensitive soul. 🖤
I really want to meet him in person! I love him so much!! 5:54 He got down on the little girl's level and did the the little horn thing I can't my heart! 😭
Thats the saddest thing ever. Just a constant line of humans without a moment to breathe or interact. And to be treated so badly after being treated so badly. Poor guy.
Same for me tbh ! I mean I would rather have a decent conversation with him and like just get to talk to him a little about whatever and thanks him for what he does so great... and like maybe ask for a picture at the end if he feels like it.... But I think it's just so weird to just go there and take the picture and leave ... Like can they really say they met him appart the fact they only got a 5 seconds thing and a picture ... And also, they probably paid hundred of dollars just for that short moment .... I paid a lot of money to be able to meet Shawn Mendes, but I was able to have a short conversation with him and also got to have a really nice picture and everthing ... It lasted way more that 5seconds .... These kinds of events should allowed more time to people... I'm not talking about a 3 minutes type of thing but more like a 30 seconds to talk and say the stuff we want to say and then the picture and leave ... And I know it's sad but let less people get tickets so the one that will got them get just a little more time with the person they choosed to meet ... That's my point of view ...
OMG! Thank you so much for posting this. I got so emotional after meeting him I felt like a blubbering wreck. I was holding up the line taking off my life support machine from round my neck and my glasses though. Pity the Showmasters staff were mean to him when he was trying to interact with the fans. I hope he had a better day today. Fingers crossed someone like Monopoly Events can book him for their For the Love of Sci Fi event in December as they have other Stranger Things guests there too! It’s up in Manchester. Thanks again for posting this. You’re awesome!
he is a human being like everyone else. we gotta choose kindness first and efficiency too..the people who set this thing up should have done a better job then.
I’m one of the people in this video! Thank you for recording it I just wish people didn’t keep getting in the way I couldn’t even see the part where he hugged me it just shows it wasn’t organised at all! It should have been done way better with barriers and stuff
Oh my good!!! Thanks for showing this!!!! is how to be there!! You take a picture with him? The experience of being there with him must be very nice. Thank u so much :D
The staff should be banned at working on any other evnet like this again. You dont yell or cause scenes. You find solutions. Firstly they oversold the tickets for photos and autographs so the STAFF should all ahve been told they would be working overtime or a 2ndary group working his line should have stepped up. I worked cons and I was VIPR for bronycon then head of hospitality for the same. No reason why the staff should have gotten that frazzled.
Usually there are SO many people with photo ops, it's not possible to have conversation much. Goes for any meet and greet experience. People can speak to the celebrity but it is just briefly.
They way overbooked and that ruins the point of him getting a genuine moment with each fan. Then when he decides he’s gonna take a moment anyway to connect, they yell at him. Yea, that would be the last time I’d do that event. Screw that.
@@angelinavigue9635 You’re allowed to talk to the guests in the photoshoots, but as the time slots and amount of people booking them, then it’s usually a “Hi, how are you” *click* “Chers, bye!” scenario. The photographer and crew have to make sure they get everyone their photo, as we as ensuring the schedule goes to plan (Which went to hell on Saturday in photo area D, issue with the photos being printed caused a delay for the remainder of the day and a build up in that area due to people being their on time and the photoshoot running behind)
the con organizers messed up i take it that they werent prepared for the number of people who wanted to do a meet and greet with joe....they should have been rule number one for cons...always treat guests well and attendees just as well and when one of your guests has worked his craft for a long time and if finally getting recognition and really wants to meet the fans...let him
I meet him next weekend in Germany and I would like to know if he signs the taken pictures(i have tickets for both) or are there already prepared cards there. Sorry if my English is bad😅
What's funny is that I was metal Head kid in during the 80's " still am a metal head minus the hair " but one of my old friends named Mike Gallipeau looked about 95% Identical to the character Eddie . The hair the face and also being kind of a wimp lol , its bittersweet . Mike got hooked on Cocaine for about 20 years but he's sober now and we still meet up at least twice a month to go fishing .
I'd want him to wear that long hair Eddie Munson wig if I'm going to take pictures with him. But seriously, , I guess I'm too old and gristled to care about showing up at any fan event. I will watch the movie/show and it's enough for me that I've enjoyed it and was entertained. But for others who get a thrill from meeting the people behind the storytelling I say, it's all good, particularly for kids and for people like that first person in the wheelchair. If meeting or taking a photo with their hero of the day even for a short moment gives them a wonderful boost -- fantastic. I just hope the organizers don't charge an exorbitant amount.
hiya lovely!! did you get any more footage after the girl with the cheetah print skirt and blonde strands at the front of her hair? i think i was near her in the queue and i wasn’t able to get any footage. it would mean the world if you could get back to me, thank you!
That shouting is not needed if they want no photos they should do it in a place other people who aren't queuing shouldn't be able to walk past. Same problem 6 years ago. They need to do better. The place is massive. And no excuse for a poor queuing system.
Se fosse aqui no Brasil as pessoas que tiraram a foto com ele teria ficado quase horas trocando idéia / IN ENGLISH: If it was here in Brazil, the people who took the photo with him would have spent almost hours exchanging conversation
I'm sure Joseph had no idea Eddie was going to get him this much popularity & fame. But he did such an outstanding job bringing the character to life they want to meet the man behind it all! I would love to one day. He may be overwhelmed but he seems happy to take pictures with even his youngest fans. I couldn't be any happier for him.
Yeah they get paid for being there. But still...i tell ya all, Day -1/0 chill plus SOME downtime are bloody important for them. At one time when i was a performer at a Swiss con, i had the luck to spend some time with Andy Herd. I mean downtime. I will never forget, at the end he asked: - Well, that's it, would you like a photo with me? - You know what...I have better memories with you then a photo. (We already got some random shared shots roaming the city anyway). :D He nodded laughing and just dedicated a bunch of his stuff and gave it to me. :D
I think the staff that didn't want him to hug fans were probably afraid he's gonna catch corona. I mean no masks ect were worn. He seems like such a down to earth guy. ❤
This is the most disorganised thing I have ever seen like it’s actually so bad I’ve been to many cons and to many ones that have also been disorganised And I’ve never seen such a rude and disorganised event as this. Wtf
