@@LadyKataNova exactly!! i'm so happy stranger things finally put him into the spotlight, because he deserves all the recognition. he's so talented and yet we didn't know anything about him until now
Look at his character here and compare it with Eddie in ST. I mean, damn this guy really said *range* Like I know he's cute and all but he's also extremely talented! 👏🏼👏🏼
If you haven't seen him in "Strike" already I suggest so. My thoughts exactly I am so glad Stranger Things happened for him. He's so humbly incredible.
Not as much though, since both characters are meant to be loveable weirdos. I can see a bit of typecasting going on. Would be interesting to see him doing a villain, for instance.
The fact that he's British helps. The history of the performing arts began in England and they still to this day place a lot of importance on proper training and performance in live theatre. Think of any successful British actor both now and in the past and I guarantee they started out performing in stage productions. Unlike a lot of American actors who just get by on their looks.
This Ralph character is way creepier and more terrifying than Eddie, such a stalker! But his perfomance is 10/10. It's just, he really sells the roles by being so physically expressive.
His personality reminds me a bit of the mad hatter's personality in Alice In Wonderland ( the movie ) Kind of sensitive, awkward and impulsive (like, really joyful) Joseph is a really great actor :)
What's odd is, the old man at the end of the clip and I worked at the NT at the Old Vic back in the day. He was in acting school at the time, did Chariots Of Fire. Time's odd!
All of this weirdness is fantastic. Everyone did a great job! But it was the "joseph chilling/the eddie cult" bit that got me cry laughing so hard. Thank you for posting this!
This video makes me think, that Joseph would be actually incredible Willy Wonka😂 He’s so great at comedy!) That slide with ring is something unforgettable😂
…i thought for such a long time “ omg yay he finally got a super happy role where someone doesn’t hurt him-“ the universe: “ oh you silly silly child- that will never happen 😊”
If someone doesn't give this man a leading role in a comedy, I'm going to be livid. HE'S LITERALLY SO FUNNY WITH LITTLE EFFORT 😭 Also, him sliding on his knee and whispering to the doorknob knocked me tf out 💀🤚🏼
