My exact thought while watching the movie. The book was so long and, even though it's not the best thing I've ever read, it gave the characters and the plot a decent amount of depth. You actually FELT something when the main characters fought or when Tessa found out. Here it's just like "well, that went by fast... alright, back to Netflix"

The movie made no sense at all. It was not shitty at its finest but also not as good as I expected. But if I look at it in the after book's perspective,having the such story that it had,and sacrificing THAT for such a stupid teen drama plot is very upsetting especially because of the potential it had and the attachment

Chamber Greece my thoughts exactly. I’ve read all the books before it was even a book and just a fan fiction on Wattpad and the books are a million times better. I had always imagined the movie to be rated r knowing the books. But with this pg movie I was definitely very underwhelmed and kind of disappointed? The movie did not do the books justice.

Audrey Sabio it’s not the script there’s just a lot of stuff they can’t put in Like Josephine said the plans for the movies changed for the scripts and they couldn’t afford to put everything into the movies into an hour and a half so they are trying to put in as much as they can plus a lot of younger people wouldn’t be allowed to see it if it was like the books 100% plus either way regardless of who makes the movies they never said it would be exactly like the books 100% anyway

I've watched the movie and I've read the books the movie was terrible and I don't know for the life of me HOW it got so much hype. They are so so toxic both of them are. Hardin has problems and takes it out on tessa and tessa has problems and drinks her problems away.
