From a Thunder fan: you all will learn to love Giddey he will be a triple double machine being on ball. All the off court stuff was bs. We’ll miss you Giddey, go be great SLOB WIZARD!
Giddy will do great! We just have a few Bulls fans that seriously have PTSD from the Gar/Forman days so they complain about anything. Once he hits the floor they will have short term memory and Love him!!
@@hbomb2024 I don’t think Giddy is bad on this team. It’s just AC’s impact was so huge. Off the court especially. He was the heart of the team. We are gonna miss those 120 steals and 70+blocks next season, especially when the rest of the team don’t compare defensively. Leaves a gap we could hopefully fill with a Lavine trade and hopefully Vuc. My only other problem is the history this team has developing younger talent. It’s a big undertaking trying to do all that with Giddy, Coby, Pat, Dalen, Ayo, Taylor, Sanogo at the same time. OG for Lavine I think is a great move. Helps defense. Would love Claxton more than anything.
Aussie basketball fan here; for a while I was following Joe Ingles unlikely journey as an NBA basketballer, but since Josh Giddey came into the league he's been the guy I've kept an eye on. He'll be great for the Bulls for a long, long time. An unselfish player; tall, deceptively strong, good rebounder, great passer - runs the floor really well too; he isn't super quick but he can run at a good pace for the full 48+ minutes. Of course his shot needs work; it is an issue. But it isn't Ben Simmons-bad by any means; he has ways of getting to the rim and I suspect he'll get to the stripe more next year, too. He's been playing in the NBA for 4 years and he's still 21. Lot of room for growth.
As a OKC fan he will be a great player for you the only issue was with SGA playing Giddey could not pay his natural role and so did not fit with them, Sad to see him go
Coming in his fourth year, he is basically still younger than most of the draft candidates this year. Josh is still having a lot of upside if good coaching and opportunity is given.
First miss the headband already, Caruso was so great to watch play his heart out every game. Josh could be a great combo with Kobe playing the 1 back and forth. Similar to what the mavs do for a different look. Great potential and not an unknown like a draft pick is, would have been cool to get one back but you can see why it didn’t happen. Hope the bulls can snag Tyler Smith or Ron Holland in the draft
@ramiroceniceros2633 no use him to trade him. He doesn't want to be here, but at this point he needs to build his credibility back. He will play well for us to swing interest in desperate teams looking to add firepower for a playoff run
Lets Getit Young Giddey. Welcome to Chi Town. Hard to see Caruso leave. He'll forever be apart of our hearts, but at the end of the game. when the sunset at the end of the day. Business is Business right. Respect
Unmmm, I’m excited to play for Chicago, ummmmm, well yes I like em young, ummmmmm, yes I’m a liability on the defensive end of the floor and am a poor outsider shooter ummmmm, I hope I get a juicy extension and can get a speech coach ummmm, yes I’m Buddhist ummmmm ummmm ummmmmm
As a Thunder fan, I still really like Josh Giddey. Good dude who made a mistake that wasn’t even his fault. He’s a good player when he’s facilitating the offense but last yr his role was primarily to catch and shoot which was not playing to his strengths. Great passer, playmaker, solid at driving but just can’t shoot.
He can't shoot? Really? I mean really? The dude went 9/18 for 3's at a 50% clip in playoffs against pelicans last season when he was entrusted to actually play...
He readily admitted that it affected him greatly. Watch his Exit Interview with the Thunder. He almost teared up when talking about how much his brothers in OKC helped him through it. He said it was the most difficult thing he's ever had to deal with in his life to this point.
That’s a good point, hope Josh can flourish in such a great organisation - seems like bulls are able to see their mistakes and make a big impact with new coaches, front office and players. Let’s go bulls
Yeah it's just an Aussie thing. I do the same thing and I'm well-educated, and have a very nerdy IQ. Josh Giddey is highly intelligent and articulate... especially for a professional athlete. More importantly, he's a highly intelligent PLAYER, which is why I'm still very confident he'll become an All-Star. He passes his teammates open and sees things unfolding before they happen. All the Bulls fans that are pissed about losing Caruso now are going to be very happy to have Giddey instead once the season starts. NBA fans are notoriously fickle, and have extremely short memories. Before the start of this season, people in OKC were talking about Josh as a likely All-Star. He averaged: 16.6 pts, 8 rebs, 6 asst .... during his age 19 and 20 season. Those numbers are pretty fucking good for a 20 year old!!! He's still only 21.
Aside from the overuse of the word "um" (which A LOT of people overuse, not just him), I liked everything he said. He gave direct answers to questions, spoke his mind without bad talking anyone, and he came across as happy to be here.
Yeah I think he could use media training to break that habit. Honestly if he needs a moment it would be better just to pause and take a breath in between sentences.
@@ryanburr8419 it's just an Australian thing. We all do it. Nothing to do with media training or intelligence. Giddey is instantly one of the most intelligent and articulate players on the team. He's highly intelligent and an excellent communicator.
@@NikoStark1 zo has no trade value right now.. hes definitely gonna get a chance to come off the bench and if he can stay healthy hes probably starting at the 1 and giddey getting moved to sf or pf
@@NikoStark1 youre a pleb if you think they will buy him out after paying him to sit for so long. the bulls are gonna let him get his value back up if he can stay healthy and either keep him or trade him by the deadline or next offseason.. lmao
Lonzo was a bad three-point shooter when he first came in and then he developed to be really good. That's one thing that could rub off on Gid. Giddey has improved his three-point shot percentage every year he's been in the league as well
I just want to know how he keeps his hair back and out of his face. It's impressive. Looks like he uses some sort of product and has some help with genetics.
All yall in the chat booing this man are the garbage fans this franchise doesn't need. GREAT TRADE to nab this guy with Caruso who was going to walk 100%. All you casuals will eat your words.
folks are never happy. constantly mad we don't blow it up. Now here's a sign we are blowing it up trading a 30 year old for a 21 year old.... and we mad again! He's not my first choice but i'm hopeful in our future getting younger.
Fans are not Garbage for feeling like the Bulls could have gotten a better deal for AC! Giddey has glaring and obvious flaws on the court that can quite possibly have a negative impact on team success. U can’t make anyone’s job easier when u can’t shoot, can’t defend, & a poor finisher at the rim. Being a fan is not just hyping a player because he joined the team… U should know and understand the game, which a lot of u “fans” who lead with emotion & rarely use logic in your arguments don’t! Alex only walks if u don’t trade him which the Bulls did , they had leverage in any trade scenario given the Demand for AC around the league & Josh Giddey ALONE who could also “walk” after this season given he is in the final yr of his contract as well is the best option? No picks or nothin? This wasn’t a smart trade
Some Bulls fans don't realize Giddey is among 4 players with 11 triple doubles at his age. They are Magic, Luka, and Ben Simmons. He would have had more if he weren't on a team with SGA. This is similar to Halliburton held back in SAC playing next to Fox. At 21, he may not know how to shoot but he's an excellent passer and that's why he will be the PG.
Can all talk about the ‘ums’ that he says in an interview but not many 21 year olds in the league answer questions openly and honestly as Giddey . Has done it since day 1 he came in the league . He can play too , just needs to play PG .
@@brodiestephens419 No lol. I just think if he changed his look a little bit maybe people would see him differently then what he was accused of doing earlier this year.
Bulls need to get another draft pick to take Furphy at about 15-18. He's going to be something in two years, and ITMT the combo with Giddey will be perfect, them both playing for Aus national team. Great developing tandem while you bottom out and reset with a 3 yr timeline. Hopefully nab a real high draft pick in next year's draft.
Nervous and excited? Like his younger "dates?" Just kidding lol. I think all that was a big NOTHING. I just couldn't help myself. I hope he, and we, have a sense of humor. Giddey up!
@ahmadfaisal6267 Nah Josh Giddey really is a passing god. He's a Top-5 passer on planet Earth. Chicago fans will see this season. Or are you saying "stop the blasphemy" like literally stop saying "god" because it hurts your religious beliefs.... and naughty words make you flip your shit so much you try to police the speech of others? If it's for your own personal religious beliefs.... your self-importance is astonishing and asinine at best. There are quite literally hundreds of thousands of gods that humans believe in. How are we supposed to know which god YOU personally believe in? Are you talking about Zeus? Allah, Vishnu, Fujin, Ares, Raiden, Thor, Buddha? Or some other god? At least Giddey's passing is REAL, and not an imaginary figment of human beings' imagination. 😅😅
