Groban has already"cemented" his female, (there are more adjectives), audience. He can tour & sell out venues w/ 2K seats for the next 20 yrs. THAT SAID, I wish he'd please refrain from chat show appearances. His audience is already very loyal & will buy his product. We DO NOT need to see him on talk shows. There is NO new audience for Groban to capture. His scmaltzy music did find an audience w/ housewives when he "broke" big. D. Foster "groomed" him & put together JG's CD. He has already hit the ceiling on the # of ppl in his fan base. Yes, he has a voice, but I agree w/ the critics, & fnd it dull. But it suits the muzak & faux opera that he records. Even if his catalogue was offered to me for free - mmm, tx.u, but not so much..., No. No Thank you". I love Molly Shannon & was disappointed that Grobin interupted/ hogged the largest portion of HER allocated segment for himself. "Blah, blah, blah,ME". He shld be aware that there.are other guests that would maybe like to speak? Molly's book wasn't discussed in any detail. She' bright, smart & a great storyteller. It wld hv been nice if she got to say a word abt. the theme of her book & or regale some anecdotes from the book, or even funny memories abt.the process of writing it. Molly Shannon is very funny, & she, (& subsequently, all of us), was/were "robbed" of her airtime. NSTEAD, James Corden was all over,, even telling Groban that he's a sex symbol? Huh? Oh no, no, no. Grobin has aways been pastey, & some women dig that. Let's not go there. Corden 's couch w/ all of his guests sitting together at once, normally "works" like G Norton's couch. But tonight, Molly Shannon was "pinned" back into the sofa, like an uninvited guest....While James seemed to be focused on stroking Groban's "ego? This particular episode shld hv been advertisedas: "BOYS RUDELY TALKING OVER THE BRIGHTEST GUEST IN THE ROOM". Oddly, Shannon didn't throw in a funny one-liner & break up the Groban'sb"tea party". Ugh, JG has got his fans. He doesn't need to sing, chat or especially try to be funny. He's saturated all radio market's ages ago & these housewives will love him forever. Molly is lovely 💙 ... the host. MUST ENGAGE EVERY GUEST INTO THE CONVERSATION. James is a brilliant writer, very affable, & self effacing. He's given us "Gavin & Stacey" "CARPOOL..." & "CROSSWALK MUSICAL THEATRE" ( My fave is Paris & Les Mis'). All billiant & original concepts. But tonight was a perfect example of a host that was "high energy scattered" & focussing on just " on one guest. It was a disappointment.
