@@fresser28 not really. In the seventies Charles Aznavour took this to the top of the charts staying at number 1 for a month, regularly appeared on Top of the Pops and his version of his song was used as a theme tune for a tv series. People my age knew the original long before Notting Hill.

Charles Aznavour was an unforgettable master. I’m sure Josh thought of his friend Charles as he sang this. Josh performed a studio recorded duet as well as several live performances of Aznavour’s song “La Boheme” when he was younger. Rest In Peace Charles. What a beautiful tribute.

There never has been, and I don’t think there ever will be anyone for me. Life has been too unkind to put it ever so mildly, and I am not in good shape now. At this point, I don’t really care, most of them are too difficult anyway. They cause trouble too. Dennis the menace kind of trouble, some of them...it is so sad a world we live in. I hope that the good people get great rewards for what they have had to put up with because of health problems, sinful people and other such trials.

I still prefer when he was a baritone. This tenor voice he's sported the last three albums while has commercial value for pop songs ( I'll always be a fan!) isnt the rich warm tones that captivated the world in 1999. The rich warm register for classical romance language songs.Too high, he always sounds like he's having to reach for the higher key whereas his baritone always poured out of his throat like warm melted chocolate, rich, sweet, effortless with a natural reverberation. He doesn't want to be known as a classical singer anymore, the Italian, Spanish and French ballads and art songs that sent shivers up your spine. He is an Inverse. The skinny young boy that had the grown man's deep rich vocals that stunned the public when he open his mouth to sing, now as a veteran performer of 20 years at the age of 39 he's a pop singer.
