@Just a guy asking questions oh lots, these confirmation processes are all the same, from both sides. Once in a while you get a good thoughtful meaningful question asked by a senator to a nominee, but unfortunately most of the time it simply devolves into political theatre. An example would be former senator Al Franken’s questioning of Betsy Devos, as well as his questioning of Jeff Sessions, which actually ended up causing his recusal from anything related to the Russia case against Trump. Definitely impactful.
